Have a look at this. Not sure how reliable it is. But at least it'll give you some sense of a comparison.
Seem like a new product.

It's probably the version which supersedes the Ultra Plus.
Great price for the 240GB SSD at $109.
Waiting for the Samsung Evo 250GB to hit this price. Anytime now!!!
Recently read of some so-called "speed bug" with the Samsung Evo 840.

Snap! I have one of them in my desktop and I literally just bought a 120 gig one today. Wish I'd seen this deal but I didn't pay very much more.
Thanks for the read, now to wait on the edge of my seat for a firmware update from samsung :(
edit: for anyone with an EVO who is suffering from this problem, apparently using this program (http://www.puransoftware.com/DiskFresh.html) to refresh the data on the drive temporarily fixes it (the problem occurs when data is older than 30 days)
@Talonparty:
Did you experience the slow down yourself?
@King Tightarse:
Don't worry they are fixing it

@King Tightarse:
Not that I noticed, but I haven't been using my PC with the SSD for a couple of weeks now and I know all the data is old. I might do a test on it but to be honest I hadn't noticed any major slowdowns
How is there no difference in read and write speeds between the different sizes? Is this a new trend? As far as I remember the r/w speeds increased with capacity.
Reviews have concluded it's about as good she crucial mx100, so whichever is cheaper go for it
3 year warranty on this one.
Do I really need one of these for my pcbyte ebay deal?
I didn't grab one at the time as it was easier to sell a $400 purchase over a $500 purchase to the wife.
Just set it up with Windows 8.1 and its so much faster than the 12 year old Dell beast running on XP.
Waiting for msata….
ok
waiting for deals on 500Gb
the 480GB is $225
Just waiting.
( Waiters gonna wait ) :)
Waiting on a 500 YB SSD…
Can we just sticky the weekly $69 120gb SSD 'deal'?
waiting 250G ssd below $100…
perhaps likes of V300 clearances and some older gen drives or lesser known controller drives like KingMax would reach that level, for likes of EVO level drives with 500mb/s performance the under 100 pricing level wont happen until late 2015 and that's under condition of the AUD stand firm at 9x level USD and GFC mk 2 don't set in.
There are currently three level of drives:
Entry level: write speed around 300mb/s from lesser known makers such as PNY / Transcend Kingmax etf that either use old gen control chip older gen MLC or old MLC with newer cheaper controller by lesser known control chip maker.
Mainstream: Lead by EVO with TLC 3DMLC etc that use the high performance control chip that ensure 500mb level writes by major chip nand makers: Sandisk / MX-100 etc
Pro level drives that has well known control chips from big brands, guarantee 500/mb level write and MLC chips for 5 year warranty
Check out the clearance section @ MSY for good deals on name brand SSD's and good prices
brought the 480 version
cloned from a Adata 256
currently found comparatively better performance than the Adata which has odd glitches at times
except from annual thanks giving specials by amazon the like in US, the prices for the 5xx level drives should be stable at this 22X-24X level street pricing (not rrp) for the next six months to come.
expect the MX-100 to be 199 USD or less and EVO and ULtra 2 at similar level during thanks giving, but support local when possible!!!!
Anyone know how long this price is on for?
And i Don't need an SSD for another month, only $10 saving, seems like it would be worth waiting?
How does this compare to Sandisk Ultra Plus SSD 256GB?
