Recently found this on Qantas Cash and not listed elsewhere on Qantas sites.

1. Load funds on to Qantas Cash Card
2. Purchase Gift Cards to value (5 points/$1AU) (also normal earn rate of 1 point/$2AU applies) on their website

3. Purchase item with gift card.

   Used at JB to get qantas points at a higher rate than my credit card. Great for big one of purchases at DJs too.

  Wow that is good for JB.

  That's 5%+ off.

  Bad thing with gift cards is if you're buying something big ticket, most Platinum/Black etc cards have complimentary insurance, price protection etc. If you buy with gift cards, you're giving that up.

    Plus buying gift cards means you are pre paying your expenses. Everyday you don't spend them is dead money. Credit cards let you post pay your expenses at 0% interest (subject to your interest free period).

  I've just checked the site to see what the process is to sign up… It appears that "Other terms and conditions and fees and charges may apply" although I can't find exact details on this. Tried looking but I can't find, but what I also found instead is that it states there is a card holder fee (but again can't find info on how much)?!?! >.<

  Anyone can shed some light on this please?

  Wow this seems really good. Looking to buy a new iPad soon when the new models come out. Was going to just use my Amex and get 2 points per dollar. Now if I use my Anex to buy $1000 of jbhifi cards id get 2000 points. Then another 5000 points from the cards themselves?

    I doubt you would, looks like you have to buy the giftcards using qantas cash card, not your normal credit card.

      I think he meant buy qantas cash cards with the credit card. Then use the qantas cards to buy jb hifi cards

  It states that you can only top up this Qantas cash card with direct debit or BPay. You can't top with credit card

  Damn I thought CC loading worked too but seems to have changed it. Can you load/reload at AusPost? Maybe that could work?
