Recommendation for roof guttering repair

Hello Guys,

For our newly bought house (Sydney), building inspector mentioned internal condition of the guttering is not ideal, repairs are needed. The internal condition of the downpipes appeared adequate. guttering and metal fascias to sides of dwelling need repairs, gutters need realignment.Guttering has blocked and has came away. Guttering is overflowing and needs attention

Can you please provide recommendations for Roof guttering repair company / tradie to fix this?

This is our first home so not much experience with such repairs or work. So if you can also help us to know what exactly we should be checking with the repair company when they come onsite for offering quotes.

One plumber gave us quote of $650 + 10% GST

Quote to undertake fixing of guttering to property which had
come away from roof perimeter. Reattach guttering using

    got a ladder? cleaning out the gutters is something you could do if you are keen/able

    That quote suggests it would be an afternoon's work with a ladder and a screwdriver. If you really don't want to do it yourself (in which case you are making a decision to make owning a home dramatically more expensive - you need to do the little things yourself) I would suggest looking in the trade services section of the local paper for a handyman.
    Tell them it is a small job over the phone, and don't mention the plumbing quote.
    If you would like to do it yourself, but don't know where to start, take a couple of photos with your phone, and head to the local smaller hardware store (mitre 10 or similar) and explain you are new to this, what do they suggest for a ladder, toolbox etc.
    Oh, and this is a perfect time to introduce yourself to the neighbours!
    "Hi, I'm electricbluee moved in next door. I'm just fixing the guttering but having a bit of trouble gettin a good look at it. Do you mind if I just climb up from your side of the fence? I don't know much about these things." If you live next door to an older Aussie blke, he will have a ladder out and be helping you within the hour.
