Check you Bill if you're with iPrimus - was overcharge

Just got my iPrimus bill and noticed is was about $10 over. Rang them up and they confirmed they had a system issue and many customers have had this happen to them. They fixed it on the spot. I asked what would've happened if I didn't notice and call. The answer was "we are hoping that customers notice and call us as we will fix it on the spot". Not able to answer when I asked what about the people who don't call.

Seems like that will be pocketing those dollars…..

Yep, that's just dodgy. They should fix it and simply refund or deduct it from all bills automatically. Surely if their crappy system can magically add some random $10 charge it can also magically undo it.

  • It double billed a week worth of Adsl service. Very dodgey indeed

  • I always keep an eye on my iprimus bills. They are consistently wrong or they incorrectly cap me.

I always make a fuss about it though and ask for compensation and they usually give me some whether it be extra GBs or a one off discount.

    That's why I'm still with them. :)

  • My most recent bill was actually reduced by about $25, I looked at the bill and saw the billing period has also been changed, so I figured they must have stuffed up my billing cycle or something.

Anyway, I called them up, and they said they've had an upgrade and they relocated the server or ports or whatever lingo they use, so therefore the billing cycle is different.

They said they're now using the Telstra service which means connection should be faster. (I haven't noticed any difference)

Anyway, I took their word for it… now that I've read your post, maybe I should double check my bill again, in case the new billing period overlaps the billing period on my previous bill..

  • Well looks like my most recent bill is $10 over. Looks like a phone call will be made tonight. Looks like this so called upgrade has just been made in my area…
