Just letting people know, Apple have brought their trade-in scheme from America, into Australia.
This means, your old iDevice can be traded in at Apple for credit towards your new iPhone.
The only thing is, you have to trade it in and make a purchase at the same time. I'm not sure how this works for pre-orders, if you'll be without a phone for 2 months or not.
I had my iPhone5 quoted for $350 tradein value. The value, I was told, depends on the phone's physical condition and the battery condition.
I didnt list this as a bargain because you could probably get more off a sucker from Gumtree, but it might be worth something for those who cant be bothered dealing with GumTree
Sucker? Like a leach? Those lowballers make the sellers suckers in most cases ;-p
Gumtree needs a name change to scabtree.
As for getting the 6 and selling old iDevices, eBay might be better. Larger market as you post it, plus they're desperate for sellers and have up to 150 free listings E-Mail offers every few months.
