Join the renowned Jun Tian Yun He Ensemble from Beijing as they perform the Australian premiere of Lofty Mountains and Flowing Water, one of the most famous traditional works of the seven-stringed guqin. The ensemble, starring virtuoso Wang Peng, are advocates of this majestic instrument and its culture, but the group are not limited to classical guqin pieces – boldly pairing the instrument with surprisingly natural partners including opera singing and a synchronised tai chi performance.
