Hello, can anyone recommend stores in Sydney, ideally around inner west area, where they sell the good firm asian style mattress?
Seems like a lot people have recommended Ergoflex though I would still prefer the traditionally Bonnell coils?

Agreed, never been in the OMF and seen an "asian style" section
means that build and quality is totally different than the typical sealy or simmons or king coil firm style.
It's very firm without all those contemporary cushioning on the top
There is the Seahorse Mattress brand (from Hong Kong). They have a store in Chatswood
I know what you mean - in Chatswood's Lemon Grove there's a shop that imports the 'Airland' mattresses from HK.
I tried out both Seahorse and Airland and preferred the Airland.
Seahorse shop is near Chatswood Chase, along Archer? St I think.
Unless the Seahorse shop has moved to another nearby location, the shop I remember has closed. I bought a matress from there in 2012.
Its nice and firm and I really like it, but no way are you getting me to pay the rip-off prices they had. They are exponentially more expensive here than in HK.
Also, my bed is a Sealy and I'm quite quite happy with it. The dang overpriced seahorse was for the mum-in-law.
Sealy is quite firm in general. Also, you can try King Koil.
I am happy with IKEA mattress. Firm, and years of warranty.

IKEA spring mattresses are generally pretty firm but some of them lack durability.
In Asia we generally sleep on the concrete floor, 5/5 for firmness
