Your link is the i9505 version. This one is the i9506 with a faster processor.

      • +1

Yarp. The i9506 was the processing guts of the Galaxy S5.

        • Wish I'd known that yesterday, I would have been onto one of these with the 15% off.

    • -3

Why negative votes guys? The listing is from Wireless1 store in Parramatta Westfield!
You get a genuine stock with GST. Approx $41 GST which one can possibly claim from TRS if flying overseas in next 60 days.

Agree…but genuine stock beats gray stock at same price point for minor version differences (unless it was S4 vs S5)

OW don't price beat gray import

        Or sell the i9506.

Crap, just bought it a week or so ago for $429… Anyone know of a price guarantee for Kogan? Couldn't find one myself.

    • +2

Well who ever down voted me can eat it! Kogan is giving me a $30 store credit after I emailed them.

Neggers will be neggers. The kudos goes to you for being OzBargain enough to email them about it.

  • Don't really follow apple or android but why does Samsung have an i in its model name. Has it used the other letters of the alphabet yet?

    • Why does apple have an i in almost everything?

      Why is the sky blue?

Why does toast always land on the side with the jam?

      • Well That's the point. i is apple.

        • Just like iBM

          yep… You're onto something

        1. The 'i' when the iMac came out stood for internet.

        2. Molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light.

        3. You're usually buttering/jamming toast at approximately hip height. When knocking toast off the plate at hip height/table height the toast can complete only half a full rotation. Unless you butter your toast upside down, the chance of it landing butter side down is greater.

        • -3

No idea, maybe (I'd say absorb / reflect, not scatter - but I'm not a physicist), and no. The jam side is actually heavier, so your toast will always tend to land heavy-side/jam-side down.

    • "Me" believe that the "i" is for international while "c" is for China's market

  • what about the one plus one?

    much better spec and cheap

I have been a Galaxy S series fan (still using S3 I9300) but I don't want to upgrade to the new ones because they don't have FM radio. Am I the only one that thinks FM radio should be standard on a top end phone? I am considering LG G2 but that does not have micro sd slot…..

    • I have given up on the notion of a FM radio on phones. I just stream now, at 32kbits it doesn't chew up data unless you have it on all day.

      • +2

…and at 32kbits I would rather pierce my eardrums with a fork. FM radio is far higher quality than streaming, uses no data, and you can change stations instantly instead of waiting for the next station to buffer. Samsung have lost me until they bring FM radio back.

        • Haha yep completely with you there!

        • I hear you but what choice do we have these days? Not much unless we want to keep onto old phones that have the ability.

From memory when I was into MP3/AAC coding and blind testing as long as the music was not compressed and processed through signal processors FM radio has similar bandwidth to 44/16 PCM tracks so it was capable of great stuff in regards to audio quality. Nowadays a lot of radio stations seem to process the audio alot in pursuit of loudness.

  • but fm radio can also suffers from static from the headphone antenna
