Older but still a very well performing 2020M processor. This will be more than adequate for an undemanding user. Coupon expires midnight tonight.
CPU is based on Ivy Bridge Core i3, with HT and Turbo Boost disabled.

Yeah, who got the idea that older people can put up with older, slower computers? My grandma overclocks too!
Sorry, edited.
One would think that if you've managed to reach grandparent status you wouldn't be precious enough to care what random people on the internet say. Especially over something so trivial - an honest suggestion on who this product would be suitable for.
I guess I thought wrong.
That's one of the problems with getting older kcid, your skin tends to get a bit thinner.
ive a feeling the celery NUC will beat this and was posted cheaper.
On the N2820? That's atom based and nowhere near the performance of a full voltage chip. N2820 ranks 526 on notebookcheck, while the 2020M ranks 201. It's about on par with the i3-4030U.

Considering the specs I'd say $299 would be more in order.
I don't think it is a good buy even at $300. It is not like you can upgrade the processor.
Actually at $300 it would be an excellent buy, because the Pentium is based on Ivy Bridge and not the much lower end Atom Bay Trail M series. The performance is similar to a Core i3 3120M, it just doesn't have turbo or HT features and is clocked a little bit lower.
"The performance is similar to a Core i3 3120M, it just doesn't have turbo or HT features and is clocked a little bit lower."
They are just two of the features which would make the Core i3 3120M a much better processor and probably twice the performance on many multithreaded functions because of the HT.
Then you have the other major advantages of the Core i3 3120M:
Intel® HD Graphics 4000
Intel® Quick Sync Video
Intel® Wireless Display
The Quick Sync would make a huge difference on such a low end processor for down converting video for a mobile device.
Then it appears your use case would be different. I doubt many "undemanding" users would need quicksync or widi.
Might be a few grandparents out there, myself included, who find your remarks a bit condescending.
