Where or who does the best deals on Laptops?

Hello people, can you help my friend?

I'm trying to help my friend look for a good price on a new laptop that meets these conditions:

I can find great prices on 1368 x 768 screen laptops, but hard to find good prices on 1080p screen laptops.

problem is the screen, you wont find that on many sub $1k units

you may find it as a cheap upgrade on some lenovo or dells but this place tends to not like lenovos (to put it mildly)

Thanks guys, using eBay found a good laptop under $1k but had a 750GB HDD instead of a SSD. Will probably replace the HDD and place it in an external case in the future.
