Cheap Arcade Stick?

I am after a cheap arcade stick to play MAME on PC (Street fighter, Punisher, Cadillacs & Dinosaurs etc). So far I have found this - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221196685590

Can anybody suggest anything better than this? My budget is limited (~20$).

TIA.

        I had one years ago. It's called the WELCOM WE-6100
        It's very lightweight and tends to slide around a lot (it has suction cups on the bottom and they are terrible).
        Other than that, its fairly mediocre quality. You get what you pay for.

        I've read that arcade sticks that use suction cups are generally all lightweight and is a mark of shoddy workmanship.

        I'll give you another keyword to search by and it's "Sanwa", its a company that produces parts for real arcade controllers and USB controllers.

    About the cheapest "decent" stick you can get that you won't break within an hour of game time or hate so much you never use it more than once.

    Otherwise save up a bit and get a Mad Catz stick and mod it with decent buttons and stick.

    • Never bought from Amazon before, is this free shipping? Do they ship to Australia?

        • Mayflash one? How is the performance?

          @bargainaus:

          I own both the official TE (Tournament Edition) and Mayflash, and I can tell you that there is definitely a difference if you're after performance.

          TE uses Sanwa parts, as others have said, they are the official suppliers of the authentic arcade experience - The buttons are very responsive and light to produce an action. This is essential for linking combos and ensuring that your moves comes out when you want. You'll get the same responsive feel from the TE joystick.

          The Mayflash, however, is clunky and is therefore more difficult to link your combinations. It feels as though you have to make an active effort to push each button, and it is as a result not as responsive. The joystick has a dead zone (remember the oldschool 64 controllers, and after how extensive usage the joystick would just lose their firmness), and this just adds to the clunkiness of the product.

          For casual play, just go the Mayflash - If you want you can replace the parts in the future with Sanwa buttons. You can definitely find a TE for 90, but if your budget is just 20 you haven't got many options.
