    this is a great post

    • why are you commending your own post?

Because I can't upvote it ;) (it was intended as lighthearted!)

      • lol

  • Worth noting that uber credit for different cities does not transfer across - it actually is restricted to GC only, and you can only use one code per signup (so if you use one from an incorrect city, you can't later use a local one on the same account).

Not entirely true for existing users.
For new users this may be the case, but I registered in Sydney and have successfully applied codes for Melbourne and this GC one just now. I just can't use them while in Sydney.

Is using Uber safe? will a get sexually abused by the drivers?

    • +1

It's very safe. Each driver needs to go through interviews and checks before commencing employment.

      • interviews with who? skype?

I think you are confusing Uber Taxi with UberX
Uber Taxi is just a tool to book and pay for normal taxi rides - so I would say its safer as you can see taxi drivers ratings before actually booking the driver. You can also provide feedback after a ride about the driver.
UberX is the one which is unregulated.

So will this not cost me anything then if my trip is less than $40? Even if I wasn't going to or from Bond? Will UBER still pay the driver??

    • Yes. Much like eBay pays you the (for example) $40 back but the seller gets the full original price. It's a marketing expense from Uber to create demand and also attract more drivers with it due to increased passenger demand.

  • Applied the code, but is there a way to check your existing credit? Couldn't find it.

  • Cheers for sharing.
