looks like the price of these things has descented to a new low!

I hope it doesn't smell or I'll have to de-scent it before I can use it

De-scenting may be required as performance looks quite stinky

    • The PNY from amazon sounds better at similar price.

  • True, but for the price, capacity and performance, the bang for buck is great

Just bought 2 of these, DONT waste your time if you are concerned about speed. They are rather slow even compared to USB2 speeds.

    To compare,

    my old Patriot Dash USB2 32gb = Real Time READ=31MB/s WRITE=9MB/s
    my new Emtec Click USB3 32gb = Real Time READ=12MB/s WRITE=7MB/s

My Patriot starts off MUCH higher, with bursts in the 80-100MB/s range, then slowly tapers down to sit at 31MB/s, where as the Emtec stays at a snail pace of between 11-12MB/s.

FYI - Both tests run from a HP i7, 10gb RAM, with USB2 ports only, transferring a 2gb file back and forth for testing.
