Preferably a Sound Bar to fit snuggly with TV (only have a 32 inch), dont want to spend heaps but wanting to take advantage of multiple HDMI inputs (run chromecast for audio without having screen on etc)

Check this one..https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/135768..but you should get something similar from eBay or gum tree…and bargain hard since i have seen people selling this one for around $200.
I listened to a lot of these in store and was not impressed. For hte money you get much better quality buying a surround sound system (which is better sounding and cheaper). I like the concept of the sound bar, I just think the prices are too high!
Also make sure you have HDMI ARC on the soundbar and on your TV. This enables you to use the TV to control the volume of the coundbar, otherwise you need to use two remotes - one for the TV and another for the soundbar
