Surely $4 more for local warranty makes this more worthy of a deal
…and from Shopping Express too. Great supplier!
i love SE
But on another note, where is the REP >
Thanks guys for the endless support :).
"Rep is busy pushing for more deals to come" :P
@ShoppingExpress: Hi rep, any chance you guys can put these on your ebay store so we can take advantage of the 15% off promo?
Good prices, sadly nobody ever discounts M.2 type HDD's….
Wow, getting cheaper!
As cheap (if not cheaper after foreign exchange and shipping) as the 960GB has ever been at Amazon.
Wow. SSD prices are plummeting. Can laptop manufacturers justify HDDs anymore considering this is the retail price of SSDs?
Sadly they justify it by selling to the other 50% of the population who doesn't even know whats the diff between a Normal HDD and SSD.
It sounds better to the 'average' joe when they say they get 1000GB instead of 256GB (SSD).
Once SSD's become the next hip thing, and the average joe gets educated on the benefits of a SSD that is when laptops manufacturers cannot justify a HDD anymore.
Except most laptops come with 1tb hdd, sdd is a lot of money for that size or you have a tiny 128gig ssd which is too small for most people.
Agreed that the cost of a HDD vs SSD is so different. 256GB SSD's aren't that expensive anymore which is usually enough for most people.
Problem is most consumers think "more = better" where as the savvy consumers will know that "less = faster".
Always boils down to the average joe conundrum of more + cheaper = best? OR less + expensive = best?
"These prices are very close to Amazon pricing we have seen in the past deals,"
except the amazon deal was for a sandisk extreme pro!

USD 455 inc shipping != AUD $449 + free shipping + probably easier local warranty
yeah I just wanted to highlight that deal for anyone looking for SSD's as they are awesome drives.
I paid 129USD+4 or so shipping which is still > $$$ than this 129 AUD with free shipping. sandisk also have global warrantee, so not really an issue.
Crucial has really good international warranty.
Their international warranty = local warranty in most cases.
why is the write speed of the 256GB model so low, aren't most of the current gen 500+ read and write.
Cause it is an entry lvl SSD.
The Crucial M550 256 GB is the one you are looking for if you want near 500 R/W speed.
anyone know how long shipping to Sydney would take?
From my personal experience, it should be 2-5 working days. I normally receive my order 3 days after purchase.
How good is is this Crucial compare to Intel 520? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/159352
This one is better in almost every way.
The 520 is getting really long in the tooth now and really cant compare with this drive from a feature perspective.
Speeds might be comparable but the reality is that's where the comparison ends.
This drive has all the modern additions that the 520 lacks. Most importantly, this drive has TRIM support that actually works.
20$ less then what it would cost me from PCcasegear. I might very well order this in anticipation for my new build.
good deal but i still wait for better local deals
This is local…
There's a 256gb one for $125 on ebay but it's an overseas stock.
