Normal price for the lunch buffet is $30. A $5 savings, with the only downside so many restrictions! Yay.

China Bar has the worst scoopon deals.

You can always go for dinner which is usually 59pp, it is now 44pp :)

China bar is one of the more expensive all-you-can-eats where its hard to eat your value in food. That being said, its a good experience, but I would rather have a more relaxed dining experience for the price.

    • I went on a Thursday night a while ago (when they had the steaks), the service was really good. Bowls(for shell) were emptied promptly, steak delivered to our table, waiters coming around to remind people about the steaks.

I will pick China Bar over Conservatory any day. Conservatory was quite disappointing, but I had great companies ( just in case they are reading this)

      • Lol, unless you LOVE Chinese food then Conservatory is heads and shoulders above China Bar.
China bar is crowded, has a downmarket ambience and I found the wait staff very average, definitely no comparison to Conservatory. Not to mention the presentation and quality of foods.
This buffet is overpriced at $59 and I haven't returned, no comparison to Conservatory even at $40-50 on top.

        • I wouldn't say I am a big fan of Chinese food but I love seafood. I found Conservatory quite average during my last visit ( Seafood, wait staff), but I guess your experience was different :)

        • @Banana:

I don't think you can realistically compare them, Conservatory is clearly heads and shoulders above.

China Bar buffet is like Kitchen Workshop, it's crambed full of tables with a lot of different/random foods but poor presentation and ambience. Not mention it's full of noisy people with wait staff that are rushed and inconsiderate.

Not a good deal by any stretch of the imagination. have to pay extra for 'upgrades'. Just my speculation, but OP also sounds affiliated.

    • Nope not afflicated! Seriously just sharing my experience though. First post as well so I actually wanted you guys to think that it was a good deal. My experiences at Burwood Chinabar had been great ( compared to the city and the Epping one). Sorry you guys didn't think it was good enough :(

Anything Scoopon is a rip and unpleasant because you HAVE to show voucher up front.

Entertainment book - don't have to show anything until paying. Much better value and experience.

    What is this UPGRADE???

is this just the extra you pay for dinner over lunch?

or is there more to pay for this UPGRADE??
