Hi I'm looking to buy an underwater camera for snorkelling in Bali.
I'm happy to pay up to about $200 but every camera I look at has terrible reviews about
leaking on first time use. I did have a Canon D20 which was good but I gave it away on my last trip.
Any suggestions on what to buy to replace it would be appreciated.

I had the same dilemma as my Panasonic got water in. Went for the D30, as there is a casback of $50. And there was the shop credit from GG.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm still undecided.
I ended up buying the Canon D30 at Dick Smith for $249 with a $50 cash back so it will cost me $200.
I hope I got a good one.:-)
I bought a Sony Cyber-shot DSCTX30 on my way to Bali last November, used extensively for a 2 week trip using it underwater there, both fresh & salt water. Think it was about $300 back then.
Also used it extensively underwater in the Philippines in salt water there for 2.5 week trip there in April. Only snorkelling use so not scuba, but probably took it down to 5-6m without any issue. Pretty important to rinse it with freshwater after use, and treat the battery/memory card/charging lid with respect and not bash the seal to pieces.
Has also been our general knockabout camera (including other half using it as a primary school teacher) since then without issue.
Could recommend it - my only complaint is the touchscreen doesnt work underwater, so you need to surface to change settings, but I can live with that as I'm not using it for scuba.
