I am planning to set up a HT in my living room. I used to have a HTIB from pioneer years back and I should say I was satisfied with it. After reading through multiple posts, I am now more inclined to use an amp with some speakers.
With the reviews, I am very much interested in Pioneer SPFS52 Pack (http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/products/42/99/161/FS52PACK/pag…).
And lot of people online suggested (https://www.audioaustralia.com.au/speakers/home-theatre/accu…).
But as many suggested not to buy any speakers until I listen to them myself, I am more than confused now. I am fine to start with a pair of BS speakers or Floor standers as I have a limited budget.
I am not planning to mount any speakers atm as I am not yet good at it. So what ever is there, I would like to place them on my Ent Unit or on the floor.
Budget: $650 max.
Speakers: BS or FS speakers to start with (like 2.0, 3.0 or 2.1)
Receiver: Something which I can hold on for some years
Mostly watch : Movies (from HDD) and youtube and sometimes mp3.
Room Size : 4.7 x 4.1
TV: Sony KDL-48W600B (http://www.sony.com.au/product/kdl-48w600b)
So, could you please suggest what AMP/Receiver to use along with what speakers. Also I would prefer to get suggestions on what speaker cables should I buy and how to connect them etc.
