Cheapest mobile phone at the moment?

Hi guys,

I just got a free replacement brand new iPhone 5 from Apple and I'm a total clutz and have kids so the thing is just a liability and has to be sold before it ends up in pieces with dents all over.

Plan is to replace it with a cheap smartish phone and just get away from technology for a while.

Are there any great deals at the moment?

the Samsung E3300 from Office Works, but it's just over $20 and I was hoping for something a little less.

Can't find any cheaper at HN or DSE online and by the time something is put in the mail on Ebay I'd be paying $10 anyway.

Any ideas?

    what exactly is a smartish phone?

    $21 dollars for a phone with 3g is an absolute bargain actually, even Nokias would be more expensive. If you go lower, you'd be looking at some Nokia 2G phone with a monochrome display. There are plenty of these on Aliexpress…

    Also dumbphones don't have much resale value anyway, I wouldn't be so concerned about whether it will sell later on, just get a phone that isn't prone to falling apart and has good tactile feedback.

    Thanks, on further searching the samsung does seem to be a bargain.
    I thought I'd just seen some crazy Huawei deals at woolies and HN posted on OzB but can't find anything.

    Now to find somewhere that has it in stock…

      Nuts so it is! Does office works have a price guarantee if the price drops just after purchase? Pretty impressed with the phone though. Works fine for gmail and Facebook plus calls and SMS of course

          Nah sold it already. $500 for the 32gb model. Went on gumtree pretty fast surprisingly.
