I bought g526 (vodafone) from one of kmarts deal for my wife. overall its really good phone but the rom came with is really bad. it came with EmotionUI 1.5. is there any way to flash it to stock rom or any good rom? spent more than 2 hours looking in google but couldn't find anything useful.

I already updated but didn't help that much. usually the problems gone after a reboot. but its annoying to reboot it couples of times a week. I think I will try to format to factory settings. it may help
did restore to factory sitting, rooted it, removed all Vodafone rubbish. work so far without problem and feel its got better. will see the next couple of days

Mine is Rooted, but how did you remove the Vodafone cr@p ??
sorry for the delay, I did it with folder explore app found the files and deleted them.

We have two G526's still on stock roms and find nothing to complain about.
BTW… Voda recently released an update to this phone. Link it up to a wifi and go into your settings >> about phone >> update to install it. AFAIK the update contains nothing substantial?
Have not updated ours… not broke so not fixing :-)
