I've got a flat I'm doing up and it's in an area that is robbed a fair bit. All of the neighbouring flats have bars on their windows. I would like to go with roller shutters to cover accessible windows but from research, the companies that fit them vary greatly on price. Does anyone have a recommendation of an installer in Melbourne?

Thanks for getting back to me Hero. I've found so far that Modern charge like wounded bulls. Out of three companies I've contacted only one have bothered to get back to me but a decent fellow came yesterday and quoted $850 per window (1800x1200mm) with German motors, fully installed. Sounds good and I'll document my experiences later if it's any good.
I went with Rollertec Shutters. Awesome. Installed remote control for free as it was easier for the installer.
I checked with Bunnings and it would have cost the same for me to buy the shutters, then I would have had to install them myself and get my own electrician. These guys are good. $850 a window, installed. When I get some more money I'll get all my windows done with them.
Just checking my old posts and it's been two years. I've since done every window I've got and I can't fault these shutters. Insulated and pitch black inside when down. Just in case anyone ever needs any and doesn't know where to go.

Need help finding a good roller shutter company servicing Lalor. I can't decide between https://www.globalrollershutters.com.au or www.rjgaragedoors.com.au? Has anyone used them before? Need someone reliable and trustworthy. Do you have anyone else in mind? I've heard stories of companies taking a deposit and never showing up.

I have had my Rollertec shutters for 3 years now and I would still recommend them highly. They didn’t mess me around on price, they turned up when I said they would and when I’ve called them up with questions and they’ve been really happy to help. Their number is 0393112111. Which area of melb? If u are near Laverton Market, there is a company that does roller shutters. About 2 from them and have had no problems since. Customer service is great too.
