Dash Cam - Navig8r Car Crash Full HD - $60 - Quality Ok???

I am thinking to get a Dash Cam for my dad and came across this one for $60, not too cheap not too dear.

Since i cannot find many sample videos online for me to check out the quality, any users experience would be great.

I noticed that this cam doesn't really able to capture / focus to the Number Plate if the front car is a little bit far away, is this common on other cameras too???

Also, how does this brand compared to Navman and others…

I guess this one is much better than the one currently on SCA Catalogue "Gator HD 720P DVR In-Car Camera" same price..

I've got one of these and it's great. No problem zooming in on number plates (using pc, not camera) even from a distance.

I bought the Navig8r dashcam (pricematch at OW for $63) a couple of months ago, and I would not recommend it. Recording at night is horrible, the frame rate is extremely low and the video appears "laggy". The image has an incredible amount of motion blur when you pause the video.

I used this model before and night time recording is poor. Day time is ok though.
