Domino's - Mogul Pizza w/4 Toppings $5.95 Pick up - 05 October

270
142166

I've been using Domino's coupons on Ozbargain for many years and thought I would help out when I just received this coupon in mail letter box. Not sure if it works at all Domino's.

I've seen some confusion for some people with the whole "Mogul" thing. Don't worry about that and just create your own pizza with up to 4 toppings, add the code and it'll be $5.95. You can even create your own Chefs Best pizza w/4 Toppings and its $5.95.

Isn't this just a referral so the OP or promoter cashes in through the referral code? Referral has not been clicked in deal.

Pizza Mogul is a responsive website and mobile app that allows customers to: … SHARE to their social networks; and EARN a cut of every sale.
Put simply, Moguls earn incrementally as they add toppings to their pizza creations. Pizza Moguls will earn anywhere from 25cents to $3.25 (depending on the number of toppings) for every individually created and sold pizza.
The more you share, the more you earn. It’s for leaders, rule breakers and idea-generators. It’s for you.

It's for me? No…It was a coupon from Domino's left in my letter box like I said. I just uploaded a photo of the coupon so you can see for yourself.

      • -5

As the Mogul site seems a new sales pitch to market to your "friends" on sites like this, I was more than a little suspicious…

but now you've posted the voucher photo (deal originally linked to place orders), it seems as neil points out, the usual Dominos promotion & promotion of how to make your fortune convincing others to buy your pizza creations.

        I've given the deal a +.
        Happy eating :-)

        • +5

You really didn't look into it much before posting did you.
This sort of pettiness and knee jerking is destroying this site mate.

        • -4

          @mycosys:
Umm… First it wasn't petty. No photo of the deal code was posted then. You are criticising me for a post that has evolved over the 3.5 hours since I posted!

The OP has left important details from deal description. I thought the OP was supposed to do the basic research. Seems so far I am about the only person posting from research, rather than just criticising ;-)

I asked a valid question based on posting guidelines & posted important details about how the site operates using social media sites to surreptitiously advertise Dominos for little reward to individuals "creating" the pizzas.

It was a warning the Mogul site has been set up for people to promote their pizzas on sites like this to make money.

It was a quick post to say be cautious, while I checked further. The deal link has been changed since I posted & details have been clarified, making late arrivers think my comment obviously wrong. I have since posted details from my research to help OzBargainers.

Since you seem to be 100% knowledgeable of this deal, maybe you can explain how the site works.

Maybe you can do the research I started to show the few pizzas available at $5.99? Most pizzas incur a $2 per additional topping surcharge, to earn their creators 25c.

It is people who take the time to keep deals honest that make others not waste their time/money. Can't see that my comment, which can be ignored, is "This sort of pettiness and knee jerking is destroying this site mate.".

        • -2

As there are very few pizzas created for $11.95 ($5.95 with code) after a bit of searching, this is just pure advertising for Dominos. There is no "Mogul Dollars" credit for creators of basic pizzas - available in this deal. Expect to pay $2 per topping more.
Withdrew my + for this pretty useless deal.

        • +1

          @brucefromaustralia:

You are looking way too hard into the deal. Forget that it says "Mogul" and just "create your own" or do "Pizza Chef" where you make your own and choose any 4 toppings and with the code it comes to $5.95.

I make my own with Chefs Best crust and its $5.95. Cheaper than any other current offers for Chefs Best at the moment.

        • -3

          @josh808:
That's great. Happy to hear that. But it's not what the voucher stated.

"Mogul" should just be removed from deal title & substituted with "make your own".

Not everyone knows to ignore deal title & voucher conditions. Pity you did not explain the deal correctly 5 hours ago :-(

        • @brucefromaustralia:

Just like most Domino's coupons, it says one thing, but you can use it for other things. Like Traditional Pizzas for $6.95 but most Ozbargainers know you can use the coupon on Chefs Best too. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/157395

        • @brucefromaustralia:

@mycosys: Was correct with you, This sort of pettiness and knee jerking is destroying this site mate.

Get a $5.95 pizza or leave this post to the people that know how to use Domino's coupons.

        • -2

          @josh808:
          Post was not correctly described.

Just because you know to ignore deal title & voucher condition in Dominos deals, does not mean everyone knows this. Also, mogul pizza/site is new, so prior knowledge about Dominos deals may not have been relevant to this deal.

I just wanted a rare pizza, followed title & voucher to find almost no choice. Was not impressed. Hence my comments.

I would happily not have made any comments if you had correctly described the deal, rather than assume everyone already knows all about Dominos deals. It was a waste of time for me, & probably others.

A little explanation helps everyone. Once you post a deal, it's for everyone, not just for those with inside knowledge.

I see this deal has accounted for 4 of your 6 comments since 2010 ;-)
It's accounted for the most negs I've received for comments in a deal in 3 years. Records for both of us :-)
But I've lost my appetite for Dominos deals.

        • @brucefromaustralia:

If I had correctly described the deal? All I did was copy what the coupon said. If you aren't happy with the coupon description, you should notify Domino's with your issues.

The negatives you are receiving are probably a sign that you are being a bit too harsh on the deal.

    • I believe that is done through the Pizza Mogul Site, not Dominos. The 6 digits codes have been posted throughout the years and are discount codes. Can anyone else confirm?

      • -1

Neil - not a problem with code - confirm it works, but a bit different conditions to previous codes.

It's hard to find mogul pizzas that you can buy at $11.95 (reduces to $5.95 after code).

If you choose from pre-created mogul pizzas. Only a few pizzas qualify for this deal. I could not find a way of easily locating the basic pizzas (at least on mobile site).

Pizzas need to be created by people who want "Mogul Dollar" credit for their creations. There is no credit for those creating basic pizzas.

So just create your own as now suggested. Otherwise you may have to pay ($2 per topping) more than deal states. And as creators are paid based on the number of toppings… many pizzas are expensive!

Of course people could sign up on Mogul site, create their own budget 4 topping pizzas, then take advantage of this deal ;-)

But this mogul concept seems more promotion designed to create free advertising for Dominos on social media, than a cheap pizza deal for us.

    • I agree, but is that code for the OP's pizza (i.e. their referral) or just a discount for any Mogul pizza?

      • +4

It says discount for ANY mogul pizza as stated on the top of the print out, it is a generic code and not a referral code from the OP it seems.

Once you make the pizza and share it, and then people buy that pizza is when you get cash back.

    • Pizza Moguls will earn anywhere from 25cents to $3.25 (depending on the number of toppings) for every individually created and sold pizza

Up to $3.25 per pizza, what, from a pizza that sells between $6-$10? Knowing the margins that Domino's franchisees operate under, I severely doubt this.

      • -1

Where did you get the idea that Mogul pizzas normally cost $6-10?

By my calculations, to earn $3.25 "Mogul Dollars" credit, you need to create a pizza with 13 additional $2 toppings! That's a $38 pizza.

But to earn any pizza buying credit, you first need to sell it (on social media, OzBargain, etc).

This deal only gives you 4 toppings. But are there any mogul pizzas without any money making $2 toppings? (A few.) We only get the basic pizza.

        Just look at the prices…
        e.g.
        1 x #7_meats_ $11.95
        Topping Surcharge $8.00
        Total $19.95 (pickup)

Ground Beef, Italian Sausage, Mozzarella Cheese, Pepperoni, Pulled Pork, Rasher Bacon, 2 Seasoned Chicken, Smoked leg ham, Barbeque Sauce, Classic Crust
        6692KJ

        Apparently earning 1 "Mogul Dollar" (4 x $2 toppings earns 4 x 25c) for its creator

The more expensive the pizza (more toppings) the more you get in "Mogul Dollars" only to buy more Dominos pizza.

I'm sure franchisee margins can handle $1 of credit towards future sales on a $20 pizza now, considering it will be in the creator's best interests to promote the hell out of their money, sorry - pizza credit, making creation on social media.

        • You had me at "By my calculations, to earn $3.25 "Mogul Dollars" credit, you need to create a pizza with 13 additional $2 toppings! That's a $38 pizza."

In the cheap pizza industry it's also pretty much a Unicorn too.

Thanks for proving my point ;)

        • -1

          @COR80:
I doubt anyone but the creator would buy a $38 pizza (to claim their $3.25 credit).

It's all just advertising for Dominos. Got us discussing them.

  • -1

This deal only gives you 4 toppings. But are there any mogul pizzas without any money making $2 toppings? (A few.) We only get the basic pizza.

Seems choice of Mogul pizzas at this price are limited. Most have extra toppings at $2 each, to earn their creators 25c per topping. Hence the branding.

eg #7_meats_ $19.95 becomes $13.95 due to the $8 Topping Surcharge!

Couldn't find easy way to search for cheapest pizzas.
eg #Capricciosa $11.95, which should be $5.99 with code. Was at my store.

    • -1

Any other $5.95 basic mogul pizza suggestions?

  • +1

    it worked so thanks op!

made a spicy island, definitely more than 4 toppings but the only meat was rasher bacon.

  • +1

had a nice 4 topping pizza just now.. not bad

  • +1

You can search for #lolbbq if you want to give me 0.25 cents. I created a pizza with Rasher Bacon, Mozzarella Cheese, Chilli Flakes, Duck, Thin 'n' Crispy base, BBQ Roast Pork, Prawns, Pizza Sauce. Just bought it no surcharge

Otherwise, you can just create your own pizzas on the facebook game/app. Pretty easy, start from scratch and just add any 4 toppings. I do believe some things do not constitute as toppings such as chilli flakes, pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese.

Its abit better than value plus pizzas I think (for the same price).

    • Ordered your pizza, it was fantastic.

  • It has pork and duck and it is $5.95 post discount. It is the #Cheap_Pork_Duck_Deluxe . Not sure how it taste but will know in 10mins. BTW I made it.
