New Free Credit Rating Information Website - Uses Vedascore

Started today, seems to be having some teething problems but might be useful when they finally get it working.

GetCreditScore.com.au is a destination where you can check your credit score, absolutely free.

We're a consumer-friendly company looking to help more Australians learn about their credit. GetCreditScore is an initiative developed by SocietyOne, Australia's only active Peer-to-Peer lending platform. Getcreditscore.com.au uses VedaScore, the credit score developed by Australia's local and leading credit bureau Veda.

    Looks good but as said, it has still got some problem. For example, it could not find my address and still searching. How does this website differ from VEDA website?

      It's a free credit score. Veda website charges for a score.

    Thanks OP. Isn't it free anyway to check it once a year with Veda by mailing or faxing your details?

    On AustralianFrequentFlyer there is lots of discussion about CCs. Maybe there can be a forum here for the non-rewards and non-flyer flavour.

    Being able to get one's credit score is neat, but it seems to me the intention is to extend the existing credit file access regime to this new aspect - as with the free credit file service, free credit score access is restricted to once a year, according to the website.

    Can see little reason for that artificial limitation except in anticipation of launching paid services providing more reasonable access. Not as pro-consumer as the news stories and involvement of Christoper Zinn (former Choice frontman) suggested.

    Veda is shit though, it tells you what you have been credit checked on for an example but doesn't tell you if that is good or what, they need a rating system which I believe getcreditscore uses? You can request 1 free credit check a year from veda, I did it just takes ages.

    Used vedascore today, great the way you get an instant score. Have also ordered a free credit report from Veda, but you have to wait 10 days for it to come.
