I've contacted Syd duty free and they were not very helpful in saying discount available.. The Amex thing is over now.. They don't price match..
Any help and I will surely have a drink on your behalf in Fiji!

My only comments are that sydney duty free at the airport is not cheap. Yes there are some cool promotional merchandise giveaways every now and then, and the AMEX offer was good (depending on how much you spent), but for most things you're better off buying elsewhere and claiming the GST back at the airport. This probably doesn't work for liquids though so as suggested above, I'd try buying abroad.
I assume you are getting married on this trip to Fiji and you can get 24 bottles as others are flying in too.
The following applies to spirits but might apply to champagne too:
buy it in Fiji. Their duty free prices are lower than ours. On top of that, both Prouds and Tappoos there in arrivals fight for your business. They will drop prices to get the sale. As you are buying a lot, they will do even better.
The Tappoo frequent shopper membership (http://www.tappoo.com.fj/index.php/89-services/131-tappoofre…) usually gives 10% off prices, but as you bargaining anyway, not sure if it will help.
