This is part vent, part advice request.
I joined MYOB Live Accounts (Now essentials) in July 2012. Subscription was $25 per month.
In June 2013 they bump up the price to $29 per month. 16% increase in one year, but only $4 a month so not the end of the world.
Today I get an email that unless I'm happy to be downgraded to be able to have ONE employee on my payroll, my subscription will increase to $40 per month. That's a 40% increase and I'm peeved.
Seems like a bit of stitch up. Get you in cheap then jack the price up exponentially when changing software is pretty inconvenient.
Anyone have any advice on cost effective cloud based accounting software? Only need to create a couple of invoices per week, 2-3 bank feeds and payroll for 6 employees.
