Nah. Been to the tiny South Melbourne store a couple of times when I wanted to get some things in a hurry. Very overpriced but customer service is very good with no shortage of customers. When it comes to having a pet, most people don't really care about the price they would pay almost anything for their pets because if they were more interested in saving money they wouldn't have pets in the first place, as having pets is expensive business.
That said, as a new pet owner myself with mounting costs of ownership I'm always looking for ways to save money where I can- I look online to find the cheapest pet food of the brand I want (Black Hawk) and I'm about to buy pet medicines online too (from thevetpharmacy.com.au who are literally half the cost as the vet for my pet's expensive medications)
Waiting for Camperdown email/call me to come collect hill's science 82g buy 12 get 12 deal a few weeks ago, still no word, perhaps something off as we'd firmed an arrangement.
Bankstown I'm aware of closed only since I attempted to call there and messaged HQ. Click & collect could improve the experience overall ["coming soon"]. Oh well.. . Good luck.
With the 20 bucks of the black hawk still considerably more expensive than others ie stefmar
Actually, scratch that, no free shipping for food = no deal lol. My basket is not even $75 and it's already over 10kg so $20 shipping..>.>
Black Hawk Dog 3kg Grainfree Chicken $37.99/$29.84
Black Hawk Dog Grain Free Wet 12x400g Chicken $38.28/$28.88
Petstock: $56.27 (after discount) with awful shipping lol
Stefmar: $58.72 before shipping
I can't edit my above reply but I'm actually wrong, for that combination it should have free shipping. I removed 2kg of hay from my order and mine is currently showing at over $75 with free shipping. This deal is also live, discount is applied to cart automatically.
I got this sms too.

So eventually got your (56.27 - 58.72)= -$2.45/~4% savings, not too bad.
+ thanks for referral to stefmar; appears slightly closer and certainly longer trading hours to Weekdays 6 PM. Still unsure about Click 'n collect status & most likely will return to Aldi/woolworths aisle mostly for convenience. They're always discounting.
Lol it wasn't what I bought. I'm just saying it may be comparable, and not considerably more expensive, depending on which items you pick, especially if you offset it with items that -are- at a decent price. I had some stuff I needed to buy anyway, and it was interesting perusing the marked down items.
Oh, no problem! And if you don't already know about it, http://99petshops.com.au can be useful too. :) Though often, I just end up on the respective sites looking at things manually..>.>
One thing Pet Stock has that Stefmar doesn't is antlers. But the medication on Petstock (at least, all the dog medication) is a ripoff. No two ways about it, haha.
Also, note: if you're a member and you spend $500 here, you get a 2% return ($10) in loyalty points to spend offline. (It's a bit fiddly; after registering in-person, seems have to email them - maybe every order?! - to let them know about this..) From the T&C, looks like you may be able to claim before you hit $500, just gotta check with them. Not fantastic compared to Vetshopaustralia's Starthere 3.75%, or Petceutics's and Boomerang's 5%, but it's still something.
Anyone else got a feeling pet stock will go broke soon?
