Bought this for $749 3 months ago from this deal and loving it as a PC monitor and 3 year warranty is a bonus.

      what inputs does it have?

      • 3 HDMI, VGA, 3 USB, composite, component, audio L/R RCA

        • So only 30hz?

        • @dafatha: Yep. It does not have display port inputs and 30 Hz is the maximum frequency at which it can accept 4K/UHD resolution signals due to the HDMI 1.x standard. I think it can accept higher frequency for lower resolutions like full HD 1920x1080.

        Nope. It's awesome.

What graphics card do you use to run it?

      • good question. perhaps we need a several hundreds dollars card to drive this 4K monitor. but when you think about the quality of those games ………

        • PowerColor HD7750 but have an MSI HD7970 that I have yet to try out/install in my PC.

  • Not to throw a spanner into the works but TCL will be launching hdmi 2.0 60hz 4k TV's later this year.
Not sure about Australian release dates or prices.

i'm betting the above is 30hz

    good luck with that

    • Oh, good point. They don't mention 3D but sound good, thanks. I think my PC will need an upgrade to take advantage of gaming at their full resolution when they come out. In the meantime you get 4K PC desktop with no mouse lag when enabling graphics/gaming mode and no need to scale fonts plus full HD stereoscopic gaming. Importing the non-3D Seiki is a bit cheaper but the ability to inspect/test this in-store before buying was great for me and 3 year warranty is a nice bonus.

      • what does the graphics gaming mode actually do?

        • Eliminates mouse lag caused by TV's built-in motion smoothing options often left on by default and unnecessary/counter-productive when used as a computer monitor. More details in this previous deal and by searching the Internet.

      @tonyjzx.

You really should copy past other peoples comments, especially mine. Even if its from Whirlpool. Put some more effort into it.

    • When these come in 60hz 4K I'll be buying one for computer use. I prefer TCL brand over Seiki any day, even if both were available locally, TCL is better IMO.

  • My next phone will have to be able to record 4k video

  • meant to be 100Hz CMI

  • Good price, but I want a bigger screen to replace an older 50inch plasma. I will start by being pedantic and noting that UHD (3840×2160) is more 2160p rather than true DCI 4K (4096*2160), but will admit that the battle there has been lost. Saying that, in the market for a new tv and very tempting to hold off for the new 65 inch TCL……….

    • 65" 4K or regular? I got the 65" FHD recently for $1500 and very happy with it.

4K would be in a league of its own but I deemed it not needed just yet.

      • The 4k version, if the price is right! ;-) You're right that 4k is more hype than anything else, but if it's only a few extra bucks it would be nice to get some high res video on it to watch…..
