Would buy a few if there was XS sizes available

    • +12

Buy the smallest size they have and then with the cash you have just saved buy and eat a load of pies.

      Voila - Shirts will fit.

    • Slim fit size small will be like an XS.

      • tempting. I bought a slimfit size Small industrie shirt on the weekend. If its the same size i would get a few shirts for sure!

        • 92cm chest on these.

      • i bought the slim fits from here before. they're really slim fit, im usally s size, but i bought m size and it fits almost perfectly. length wise the shirt is too long, have to tuck into pants or else it will look a bit tacky and theres quite a bit of fabric that dangles outside.

      • Decided to bite the bullet and buy one

  • What kind of cutting do your shirts have? I tend to have trouble with most brands except pretty much jack london and tarocash (crap quality but fits). Any other brans like van huesen etc… tend to be a bit length for me.

I am not sure how our shirts would compare to the brands you mentioned but I would certainly encourage you to try one of our shirts with the current deal you can't go wrong.

  • I have just measured a slim fit small and the chest measures at 92cm.

    • Slim fit shirts - new range coming soon!
Collar size Chest Sleeve Back body length
      38 cm 97 84 79

Hi rep, so the slim fit small is not 97cm as per the sizing guide?

      • It looks as though you have been looking at the Formal Shirts size guide.

        • Oops..
          Thanks for that..
I'm still unsure which one to order..
My chest is 92cm exactly, should I get the medium slim or small regular fit shirt..?

  • What are the sleeve lengths on your business shirts?

    • Our business shirts sleeve lengths are dependant on the collar size at this time.

      What is your collar size?

  • 39 or 15.5"

  • The sleeve length will be 89cm according to our size chart: http://www.cwclothes.com.au/size-guide/

Please bear in mind that this measurement is taken from the middle of the back neck, across the shoulder and down to the end of the cuff.

Bummer, was looking for 84cm but thanks for the quick reply

How come only the slim fit shirts have size XXL?

    • Deleted

    • I think the stock has run out of regular fit XXL.

  • +1

    I bought two.

    cheers rep

Thanks Ozzy! Bought 5 shirts. I was tempted to play it safe and just buy 1, but I measured up my favourite shirt and every measurement was perfect! Will be looking to buy more in the future.

  • +1

Going to play it safe, just bought one hopefully fast shipping and I can grab a few more if it works out well :D

    Good luck ironing.

    Thanks. Just bought a shirt.

  • How long will this offer last OP?

    • +1

Have a look at the expiry date in the thread should give you an indication of the expiry date. As it states expires on 7 September.

    • I can confirm that this offer will run up to the expiry date (7th September)

      • Or until sold out?.

  • +1

thanks, also bought one to see how the slim fit sizing works

  • i mistook the op's brand for this:
    http://www.ctshirts.com.au/default.aspx?q=|||||||||||||||

    • I think that is the intention.

      • exactly what i think.

  • As mentioned above about length, any chance you could supply length of slim fit shirt in S and M? Couldn't find it on site.

    • You didn't look very much. Down the bottom of the front page of the web site there's a white box that says Sizing guides. S and M sizes are listed under the Sizing guide page and in Casual Shirts tab you'll find it.

Here is a direct link to to the Sizing guide in case you still can't find it from the front page. http://www.cwclothes.com.au/size-guide/

      • I did look at that guide on my phone but the length that I am referring to is the length of shirt from collar to bottom not sleeve length

        • -1

Well you didn't state that in your post.

    • Sorry for the delay - I measured it at around 84 cm (Top of collar to bottom of shirt).

Really hard to find classically-designed shirts. So many button-down collars, snazzy/light-coloured buttons or various unnecessary design quirks. These seem to fit the bill nicely, shame there are no larger sizes left.

    • The slim fit sizes are all available as far as I know - Just go a size up and you should be all right.

Be sure to check the sizing guide too.

  • Are these shirts easy to iron? Wrinkle-resistant?

    • When something says 100% cotton it means you will have to iron it pretty much everytime you wash it, and no it's not going to be wrinkle resistant.

Much better off with a polyster/cotton blend if you dont want to iron, as you can hang those wet on a hanger, give it a pat down to get rid of the big wrinkles when it's still wet and it will dry pretty well without needing to iron.

Generally 100% cotton shirts are more desirable for many, but not for us who don't want to iron.

      But for $15 a shirt it's a good deal.

    • These shirts will need ironing UNLESS you are able to hang them whilst drying.

I wash mine, shake em good and hang them as naturally as possible. I also pull them a little whilst drying, to maintain the shape. If you do this well then ironing will not be necessary.

  • Hey OzzyMelbourne/store rep, quick question about the white slim fit shirts regarding the material; how would you describe the degree of transparency of the material? i.e. stick your hand under it and how much your hand outline/flesh can you see? I'm after something quite solid and opaque in colour as a casual shirt.
Thanks in advance for your help, and anyone else too if they have already bought a white one ! :)

    • +1

Hey Exonerate; I've got a white one, and I think it'll be a bit too transparent for you, based on what you've described. Definite hand colour/outline visible when pressed against the fabric.
That being said - you wouldn't have the same problem with any of the other colours.

      • What a champ !
Thanks heaps for taking the time to reply. Got my navy one just recently and fits well, was about to take the risk and buy a white one but you just saved me 15 bucks !

  • How do they compare to TM Lewin, CT, Herribone, Industrie, Zara

  • Received my 5 shirts today, exactly 1 week from ordering.
Definitely need an initial iron which is understandable due to their packaging, but I've tried one on and am really happy with it. The code is still valid for another 3 days, so I'll seriously consider buying some knitwear.
    Thanks!

    • Please let us know how much ironing is needed after washing.

    • +1

You're lucky. I'm still waiting on mine to be delivered which was shipped on 29/08/2014. Far from 1 week delivery in my case. Probably coming through Melbourne when reaches Australia which takes an extra 1 week alone to get from Melbourne to here in Rockhampton QLD since Australia Post is that slow.

Crazy huh you can get some thing from the UK to Melbourne in a week but Australia Post takes that long alone to get some thing from Melbourne to Queensland.

  • Received mine today, and they are really good quality shirts for what you pay. Only issue is that my black shirt I ordered had all the buttons stitched with black thread except the last one at the bottom. That I am struggling to understand as it isn't the spare button.

    • All of the bottom buttons on these C.W. shirts seem to be stitched with red thread. You can see it in the images on the website if you zoom in. I believe it's a style thing that can vary depending on the type of shirt.

On some shirts, any or all of the following may be true of the lowermost button/buttonhole:
      - The buttonhole is oriented horizontally (whereas all the others are oriented vertically)
      - The buttonhole is lined with a different colour of thread from the others
      - The button is sewn on with a different colour of thread from the others

You can always unpick and re-sew if it's bothering you, but you won't see it if you're tucking the shirt in anyway.

      • How's the sizing?

        • Pretty spot-on from the sizing guide - just make sure you're looking at "Casual Shirts" and not "Business Shirts".
Take a shirt you know that fits you and measure up.

    • non washable black nikko pen will do job. Many stores with shelf chips on vases' lamps ect do this.

Last button thread - know when to stop dressing. Or advertising for whats below [ sorry late late night ]

  • Received mine today. I got the Sky Blue slim fit. Seems a rather nice shirt.
