The deal posted earlier is cheaper. Based on 28 Degrees Mastercard rate yesterday it works out to be $150.80
Can't get the promo code to work.. targeted?
Does anyone know how warranty would work on these?
Typically it doesn't, you'd have to post it back to the USA I believe and then you'd probably have to have a forward shipping to get it back. All of which probably adds up to more than the drive is worth.
Shipping a hdd to america and back is hardly going to cost you $160, it's definitely worth the minor effort.
It'll cost more than the savings vs buying local. Definitely not worth as much as the drive itself.
And why are we shipping it back to America? Seagate used to allow customers to RMA directly to them - has this changed?
4TB hard drives are $172-$178 at local computer stores. Probably worth paying the extra for local warranty.
yes but it's cheap, but it's still a Seagate = a no,no for me. too many bad drive encounters with Seagate
Its funny, because I've exactly the inverse experience with WD drives…
I had three WD drives fail on me over the course of one year, never had a problem with Seagate drives.
Funny how people have such polarizing experiences with hard drives hey.
This is $5 cheaper than the post earlier today assuming an exchange rate of .85
