  Depends what you want the VPN for. Personally if its just watching NetFlix etc then I prefer a DNS unblocker such as unlocator.com as it is a more permanent setup and a bit easier for less techie fmaily memebers.

  If you do actually want a real VPN then it would help to know what countries you want to exit from, if this is important to you, as well as if you need 'real' anononymity or not (i.e. do you want a provider who doesn't keep any logs of your access etc.)

    Basically it would be for anonymity, privacy, and downloads. with also the capabilities to block marketing ads and maintain good speeds.

    So far i have been with VyperVPN, they are good, rarely any issues. however, i realise that they keep logs and my name and payment details are on their account, therefore it kinda defeat the purpose of having a VPN in the first place. If the law requires for personal details then im assuming they would have to provide such details with their logging record details (not data records(as claimed))

    Might try PIA as a lot have recommended.

  I've used PrivateInternetAccess for nine months or so without issue. They aren't the cheapest, but reviews were favourable when I was looking for a provider.
