      does it fit 15.4" laptop?

  • not sure if it fits 15.4"/15.6" laptops…..

It is great for the ASUS T100.

Would be too small for any 15 inch notebook PC.

I would buy another one, but it will not allow PayPal payment.

    EDIT
I note that this one is the -2- medium while the JB one is the -1- medium listed as 15inch.

I will go and measure my Bing Lee one.

    • Just checked out with paypal.

        Just checked out with paypal.

        Delivery or Store PickUp?

It would not let me do Store Pickup AND pay via PayPal.

NOTE: THIS BAG IS 12 INCHES BY 8.5 INCHES.

        • According to Bing Lee …..

          "Fits most 15" Screens.."

I purchased this bag last time they had it on sale - I have it in front of me now.

Who are you going to believe?

        • Yup delivery.

Bummer I took the dimensions from jbhifi link to be the same. Prefer a snug fit for my 13" MacBook Pro.

        • On Amazon, it says that the dimensions for this are:-

          Product Dimensions: 15.2 x 1.6 x 10.4 inches

Hope it fits the T100 as you say.

Sorry, but my son's 13" MBP will not fit the one I purchased last time.

Hopefully this is a larger size, that would be great. As the current MBP bag we have just 'lost' its strap.

I think that the one from JB must be a different model/size.
          JB is Model: DP-2142-1
          BL is Model: DP-2142-2
but both are described as "Medium"?
Maybe both are the 15" but just different colours?

        • @A3Australia: Spot on. JBHIFI have a green colour.

check your device dimensions against the spaces specified :) .

        • @A3Australia:

I wasn't disbelieving anyone, just indicating what Bing Lee's ad said. But if you look at http://www.stmbags.com.au/catalog/discontinued-bags/jacket-m… the manufacturer states the size of both the -1 and -2 versions to be the same (and larger than 12.5 x 8 inches). So I think Bing Lee is accurate in this case.

        • @A3Australia:

Pretty sure "-1" and "-2" at the end refers to different colours. The stm website may be able to clarify.

        • @A3Australia: The one (with model number DP-2142-2) I bought from Bing Lee today can certainly hold my 13-inch MacBook Pro with plenty of room left.

  • Does it allow macbook pro 15inch?

    • Does it allow macbook pro 15inch?

Internal dimensions of this bag, in this colour, 8.5inches x 12inches.

      I just re-measured with a steel rule.

      • Are you sure you haven't gotten it confused with this one?

        • Are you sure you haven't gotten it confused with this one?

          I know what you mean.

It is just that I purchased the same one, described as medium at the time, from Bing Lee before.

I have now purchased this one - so will see when I pick it up later today.

        • Can you please confirm the size when you pick it up? Thanks

      • You have a different model bro, medium fits most 15" laptops.

Wow, $60 at JB HiFi, and you could probably sell it on eBay for $40+.

      Broden STAHP IT!

  • Thanks O.P., nice find.

    Note: max quantity is 2.

  • I have tried everything - I can't do in store pickup AND pay via PayPal.

"Unable to process payment. Please contact the merchant as the mailing address provided by the merchant is invalid, and the merchant has requested that your order must be shipped to that address."

    • I'm getting the same error. Might have to pay directly with the credit card for this one or speak with the live chat tomorrow to see what the issue is.

    • I had the same problem. I have just paid with credit card in the end for the store pickup.

    • Yup, I gave up and purchased another one via credit card and with store pick-up.

Seems like a good price but never heard of the brand and don't need it. Didn't buy it

Thanks OP! Wife just asked me earlier this evening to "check your bargain websites for a new 'laptop condom' for my new Macbook". This is exactly what she meant. Happy wife, happy life :-)

  • It is fit with 15" Macbook Pro. FYI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sttUkrPSCS8

I think they (Bing Lee) messed up the listing.

First two pictures are the 12inch case, which is brown.

Next two pictures are the 15inch case, which is Charcoal.

    • All pictures are of the 15 inch bag. Look at the iPhone popping out. Roughly 2.5 inches wide. There's no way that the width of the bag is 8.5 inches given the relative size of the iPhone there.

This is a 15 inch laptop bag and will fit most 15 inch laptops. Please stop confusing people :)

  • Thanks OP. Thats me, the wife and two Christmas presents sorted out…

  • +1

Great timing. Needed a new laptop case as my sister stole mine for her MBA because it's "worth more".

  • These were designed for 15 Macbooks so would fit those perfectly. Whether or not they fit 15.6 laptops is a hit and miss depending on how thick the laptop is and how accurate the sleeve's actual measurements are due to factory variations.

I know because I've owned a few 15" STM sleeves in the past.

(Not 100% sure if this is a 15" one, because the description on the page is whack i.e. model number is not charcoal. However, medium is for 15")

  • Just ordered one.. I am travelling overseas soon and was looking for a slim laptop bag that won't take up much room on the plane. Thanks OP!

  • Damn. Out of stock.

Paypal threw the error then when I returned to the product page there was no add to cart button.

  • dman. phone ran out of battery while on the train checking out. get to the office to see it out of stock.

  • This was $10 delivered on Catch of the day's ebay store when they had the free shipping promo.
    I snagged one.

    • why didn't you post/share the deal? :-I

  • Got one, I do prefer a smug fit for my 13" mbp, but a deals a deal.

Was thinking about buying this when it was first posted… then just as I was about to checkout. Opened my linen cupboard and there are 3 laptop bags, 2 sleeves and headphones from the EOFY deals still sitting there unopened.

    I think I have a problem. :(

EDIT: Forgot 2 iPad cases as well.

  • it's sold out !! ozbargained

  • This is kinda a repost…..

Just ordered one to pick up @ Chatswood Store. :)

  • picked up one from bing lee Rockdale Plaza. They still have another 5 piece left. thanks to the uploader. Excellent buy

Thanks to the A'hole that bought 20 from Sydney store leaving non for the rest of us

    • Don't you hate that… -_- Unless it was a business buying for their own use that is a douche move if they are to be resold.

      • Yeah usually it is. The guy was funny, told me there was a line of people waiting for them to open up this morning. First time bing lee ever had a line?

        • LOL all for a $10 laptop bag.

    • To which Sydney store were you referring?

There were half a dozen on the shelf in the Haymarket store today when I went there mid-morning. I don't think there was twenty available for sale to anyone who arrived after me, but then I also don't think someone came and cleared them out “leaving non for the rest of us" with a purchase of twenty before my visit the store, unless by “non” you meant “nine” and not “none”.

      • What a joke. I spoke to bing Lee customer service at around 9am yesterday as my order for Haymarket pickup failed to go through. They checked with the store and told me they had sold out!

        • +1

Yes that might happen. When I picked mine up, they said they were asked to return all the stock to the main warehouse. If I was there later, mine would be sent there as well. I like the bag, wish I would have bought another as a present.

  • +1

Mine was posted yesterday via eParcel, and I have the tracking number. Thanks for sharing this deal OP!

    • Just received it today. My Macbook Pro 13-inch fits loosely. It's probably be more of a snug fit for a 15-inch.

This is definitely value for money, but would definitely not pay MSRP for this as there are much better bags for that price range.

Again, thanks for sharing this OP!
