Certainly a better deal than the Antec case offer of last week!

    I bought 2 :)

  • Does anyone still burn DVDs?
I've had an unopened 50-pack for months.

    • Only when I'm feeling nostalgic!

    • Same situation with me! But it was also $10. It was the 9289.com.au free delivery deal, forgot what brand it was but it was a great buy and I still don't regret it even though I haven't opened it. I expect to be using them soon though.

    • They're good for saving those movies you've recorded on your hard disk PVR.

For those on the east coast these are available at 9289.com for same price also pickup. Postage is available but costs

  • Yeah too bad the media code of these cheapo LG's is CMC Magnetics, a notoriously poor CD manufacturer, which means they have an average lifespan shorter than a fly.

Verbatim's are going for around $20 dollars or less these days and suprise, they will actually work when you put them in a DVD drive 3 months later. Save yourself the hassle folks and more importantly, save your data.

Have to agree . I tried these in my pioneer and LG burners and their lifespan was about 2 months . Very Very Poor . I'll never buy LG again .

Yes, they are indeed CMC MAG. AM3s. Same as a $5 spindle I got from an Officeworks house brand closeout about a year ago. I don't use them for data DVDs, only for making copies of free-to-air recordings from my PVR for friends. For that kind of use, it doesn't matter.

Well I suppose but I'd assume the majority of people don't buy DVD-R's just to give/throw them away at some point.

And like you said, if you're hell bent on CMCs, you can get them for even cheaper prices. Still no point to buy these LG's.
