  I just signed up for Alinta, they offer 20% off electricity and 10% off gas if you pay your bill early, they seem fine so far.

  It depends on your postcode but from my research momentum energy is by far the cheapest for electricity.

  Offers that have a percentage off element are not very informative, unless you know what they are actually charging as the base rate.
  ie getting 20% off isn't much good if the base price is 25% higher than somewhere else.

    I used it and we have now switched to Power Shop.. already seeing the savings and we can check our usage DAILY!

  Just changed to Red Energy - lower base prices combined with pay-on-time discounts. Don't be fooled just by big discount offers (for example, Simply Energy). Some discounts only apply to usage and not the whole bill. Some suppliers offer big discounts but the base tariffs are higher.
  I did my calculations using actual recent bills and my conclusion was that Red Energy was the way to go.

    I did exactly what you did and came to the same conclusion, so switched to Red.

  Just changed to Lumo energy from AGL. Based in Vic.

  33% off for electricity and 17% off gas. This is for usage and supply which made it much cheaper than what AGl could offer.
