Yay.. Time to gem my coc…

    • +15

Lol no he doesn't mean the word 'cock' he mean 'clash of clan' if you guys were wondering.

      • +4

ya coz like gemming my coc is my favourite past time

      • Or maybe he doesn't!

  • I was only thinking about this the other night

grab a couple for my neices for their Ipads

  • If you buy online are the codes emailed or posted?

    • They post you the cards and charge delivery or you can pick up in store.

    • +2

I've had the experience of cards being sent via postal mail; but the most recent one was where they scanned a copy of the iTunes printout from the cash register and emailed it to me. And still managed to charge me $3 for shipping. I didn't complain because I still got the value of the card without having to queue up, but it did seem not worth it somehow.

  • I've been waiting for this to come back and it just happens to be after I grabbed 2 of the Scoopon deals a week and a bit ago.

Gone from low iTunes credit to swimming in it!!

    • Same but I only grabbed one so another one of this would be perfect

    • Are you Sanchez's twin…?

  • +1

How does one get around the "one per customer" ruling?

    • +2

Drive around to all the HN stores near by. I live south east, so if I really wanted to, Drive from Dandenong to Springvale to Knox to Fountain Gate. $160 for $80

      • +2

Otherwise order online to pick up from multiple stores. That way you can collect your cards when it's convenient for you.

        • +3

On top of visiting multiple stores. While you are standing in line. Do online orders also. Then come back the next week to pickup.

        • @gummibear: Double Dipping.

      • +2

Combining your idea with tailsk's idea.. If you have a seven sweater and can convince six others to come with you that's $1120 for $560. Winner

      • If you go to Fountain Gate, OW is just next door. You can try to buy from HN, and ask the neighbor to price match :)

    • +2

Take your parents/grandparents/friends who don't have an interest in iTunes cards and get them to buy one with you…

    • +4

I take my wife and two kids (4 and 5 years old) and tell the cashier that the kids are customers too. Never fails.

      $160 credit.

      • Same here

        • +11

Finally, having kids is paying off

      • +4

Do you reckon they'd allow a 22month old baby to buy one too?

      • +12

        depends on the staff.
The ones at Alexandria, Sydney are shitty.
I took my two year old last time. She said "I can't sell that. a child is not a human."
poor use of words, seemed like a non-english background. I walked off, told her off that she's not a human for saying that.

On another occasion, the staff (a guy) said politely that they can't sell the itunes to kids.

So, probably depends on the age of the kids.

        • +2

hahaha, woah. What a dick thing to say.

    • +1

Gerry Harvey is reading this right now, and he probably will cancel your online orders - LOL

    • the same way I top up on my pseudoephedrine.

      (joke)

oh crap I'm on that government watch list again, aren't I?

    • Last time ordered 5 separately online and then picked up them up 5 + 5 all at the same time, the lady at the check out didn't mind at all and I was very happy to be paying 1/2 price for Logic X

  • Nice! I missed out last time due to daylight savings.

    • +18

      Still a saving.

  • I always top up with these 2 4 1 HN sales, thank OP for posting!

This is the cheapest way to buy card packs in Hearthstone. Beats the PC prices.

    • +1

Prices are 20% higher on the ipad though.

      • +1

20% higher on iPad, -50% iTunes credit = cheaper than PC.

        • Yep and you can also buy all of the Curse of Naxxramas for $25 for five “wings” (same price as PC). So you get it for half price.

        • Gah, I've failed as an ozbargainer.

For some reason I thought the Ipad version would be 'real' funds and not cheap itunes credit.

        • @videoman:

A true ozbargainer will unlock all wings using in-game gold.

          I haven't spent a cent on hearthstone.

  • Free delivery or pick up only?

  • Time to regroup the family..!

    • +1

      family reunion @ Harvey Norman???

  • +1

If you order online, can a friend or family member pick up the order foryou? Or do you have to show ID when collecting online order for these?

I plan to order for my mum, dad, wife, brother, sister-in-law, and my 22month old baby.

    • Need to show photo id

    • Yeah that's what I was thinking as well.

  • I got $398 credit for the not working ps3 with extended warranty, not sure if I can get the ps4 for $478 tomorrow or they want me to pay for normal price $549

  • +3

Yay, this sale is the only time I ever buy iTunes.

  • +6

Shall take my newborn in holding a 20 ;)

    • +1

just make a comment saying he/she will cry if they don't get their own itune card.. should work like a charm no human can turn down that request.

If you want to confuse them abit throw in a comment about smurfberries.

  • +1

Most apps i got are App of the Day; ebooks from amazon, music and video are only freebies; in app purchase is switched off.
Any idea how to make use of an itune cards?

    • +1

for me - iTunes movies/TV shows. I buy all seasons of Game of thrones, as well as pay per view movies occasionally. Also - Games. Used to be Clash of Clans, but now I can see this being great for Hearthstone in game purchases.

  • +2

THIS IS AN ARBITRAGE SITUATION!! for those who do not use them can still make a few $$$ from this…purchase 5 at $20 from diff stores…then sell the 10 u have online for cash from cardselling companies such as http://www.abcgiftcards.com/ making a profit of $31.00…NOT BAD

    • +2

not bad…but too much of a hassle for $31

    • +1

Currently learning about arbitrage situations. This is a prime example. You buy two gift cards for $20 and sell them to ABC for ~$26 giving you a net profit of $6. This is a 30% profit margin, pity it is limit two per customer. Even if you don't have ITunes, these make great gifts or a free $6 for petrol money :)

    • Somehow i'm not sure an American site would buy Australian iTunes cards, or any?

      • there's an australian site but i couldn't find the link

    • If going that route, you may as well sell them yourself on eBay which'll earn you a larger profit even when taking into account fees.

      • +1

True man, you could probably get $35 for two iTunes gift cards delivered digitally. Ebay seller and PayPal fees bring it down to $30 and then you have to deal with customers. Customers are king on ebay and they could easily say the code is invalid and demand a full refund. Is it really worth the hassle of listing on ebay just for the sake of a few more dollars? Depends how much you value your time but it's a $10 arbitrage opportunity still.

  • Thanks for this OP! Have been waiting for a buy one get one free Itunes deal

  • Last time I managed to get iTunes in total of $160 by myself. It happened for 2 days with 2 cashiers. This is going to be huge again. Hehe.

  • -1

Are you sure that the iTunes card can buy online?

If so, here is the link:
    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/itunes-card.html

    • Yes. Read the advert.

  • +1

Amused by the crappy $600 Acer with 12gb of ram

  • where does it say that it's INSTORE as well - flyer say AVAILABLE ONLINE 11am-12

And noob question cause only the kids use the iphones (WIFI only for apps only), what's the difference between an itunes card and the App store cards they also sell. I go tthe impression from comments above that these itunes cards are going to be used for in app purchases (games) but isnt that what the app store cards are meant for?

    • +1

That's just for the benefit of those in western states. Physical stores use their own time zone

Yeah Itunes and App Store cards are functionally identical. They all pool into one balance, that you can spend on Mac apps, music or whatever.

      • or middle eastern states like SA & NT :) or are they half middle western as well?

  • Is it definitely just the $20 ones?
Can't see anything in the t and c's that say that.

    • -1

does the advertising say it all? it shows $20 only otherwise it'd show $30 and $50 as well

      • -1

        Wut?
Pictures are just pictures. The exclusions are in the terms and conditions.

  • postcode 3012 all 3 stores are out of stock for normal price. just wondering… how many stock they are going to have tomorrow

    • Most likely … unlimited stock. :)
They generate "gift cards" when you purchase.

      • -1

they can generate code for online order only then email it to you but in store has to be a physical Itunes Card

        • +1

They don't do the physical cards at my local HN anymore, it's all done via a terminal printout just like phone recharges etc.

        • @Jonesy77: so they can't say out of stock anymore :)

        • @legelas:

Hahaha… "Unfortunately sir, the machine is broken today".

  • Is the limit of 1 per customer in the fine print?

    • yes

  • I don't think it's online, as most stores are out of stock.

    • I went through a lot of random Sydney post codes and all of them are out of stock expect for Alexandria. Above comments mention that HN have replaced the cards with just the code on the receipt.

If you order online you get a message saying it's on backorder. I assume if you order online they will just give you the receipt with the codes.

  • +2

Deal has started a little early

  • 11AM and all my local stores are out of stock.

    What a sham

  • hmmmm its not working online as yet for some reason.. shows up as $40

    • Mine was working at 10:55 but all stores are out of stock unless I pay $10 shipping I guess…

  • I bought online for pick up at Carindale (QLD) - all went ok

  • oh great here we go!!!

    www.harveynorman.com.au - Connection failed
    Error code 8
The proxy failed to connect to the web server, due to TCP connection rejection (TCP Reset).

  • Yikes, site went from fine to nothing just as the clock struck 9! Got one at least!

Last time this was on they sold me two for $20 in store when I went to pick them up, so don't hesitate to ask :)

  • "Sorry, we are experiencing increased demand". Looks like the site is being hammered.

  • Site isn't loading for me

  • Nil stock canberra…$10 shipping…F you Gerry

    • Nothing 100KM from Albury/Wodonga either.

My problem is they didn't have stock before this deal started, that's dodgy.

  • +1

Website not coping at all, lots of spinning circles and not much else. Then…

"Wow, we're totally maxed out at this very moment,
But you can try us again in a little bit."

Yeah, like after the sale has ended.

  • +1

"Wow, we're totally maxed out at this very moment".. site works fine until you try and buy a $20 gift card, dodgy Gerry
