it always amazed me that they asked them to do a clean version of this song, for the radio, live, in protest of the shitx-factor and seemed genuinely surprised this happened… (the ending) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUPYIShaX1s

    • Bad ass awesome

    • Haha :) Love it!

    • hahahaha i dont see anything wrong with that.. :P

Do tracks offered for free chart on official music charts? Would be great if it charted and knocked off some of the crap on the current charts.

  • GOAT right here.

This entire album is amazeballs. Killing in the Name is great, but Know Your Enemy is the best track I reckon.

i was thinking about this after ufo's similar comment above, i think its an album you need to take in as a whole album. its not so much just about the "pretty songs" but its about the reoccurring message through the whole album as a whole that makes it amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_vQt_v8Jmw comes to mind as my underlying point.

Know Your Enemy? I know them well, Western Digital and Harvey Norman be their name

      • and DLink

  • Anyone else having troubles with playing the song? The song dowloaded, but I get a "Music Playback Error: COuldnt play the track that you requested."

A timely post, given what this song is (I presume) about, and the recent shocking event involving the US journalist. R.I.P.

    • +5

      Eh?
Lyrics: "Some of those that work forces, are the same that burn crosses"

Timely yes, but more about the shooting of Michael Brown than the beheading of James Foley

      Ewww, what a world…

      • Awww dudes… I was a teenager in the early 90s when this came out, loved it then and love it now. My comment was an allusion to the fact that I presume it's about senselessly "killing in the name of" supposedly higher authority/ ideals.

I presume it's about senselessly "killing in the name of" supposedly higher authority/ ideals.

not really, its about police violence specifically against blacks in america

Some of those that work (police) forces are the same that burn crosses (the racist KKK)

  • gotta love that picture, reminds mo of backstreetsync

Unsurprising a few of the comments were removed due to 'Foul Language'.

didn't realise three of the members reformed as Audioslave, makes sense why I like them too!

    • I quite like Chris Cornell's voice too! Much more chilled than RATM but still great
