CDICKSMITH20

Code is CDICKSMITH20, but for some reason wont let me post deal because of the nighthawk router.

$459 retail, roughly $380+ at most retailers. I just wish it was 1080p as I actually need it to be 1080p to work with my video splitting system! So if I cant buy it, I will let other people know. They have reduced the price back down to $339 after increasing it to $399 for the 20% sale

1366 x 768p why would anyone even bother

because from like 5 feet away the human eye literally cannot tell the difference????? good enough reason?

  • I am so tempted to buy this.

I want a TV for my bedroom, but the problem is the space on the wall will juuussstt fit a 40" TV and has heaps of room with a 32" one. I know this is a long shot but are there any sizes somewhere in the middle that anyone knows of?

    • I googled and found some 37" & 39" TVs. Not sure on availability though.

      • I've found this one but I'm put off by the brand…

        http://www.bigbrownbox.com.au/tcl-l39b2600-38-5-inch-97-8cm-…

        • Could you get a wall mount that extends out and swivels to make room for a bigger one?

        • Don't be put off, TCL are actually right up there in quality. They make their own panels unlike Hitachi, Kogan, Changhong and numerous others.

I recently bought a 65" TCL and I've been happy with it, it's no step down from my Panasonic (albeit a few years old now)

Quality wise, TCL is behind SAMSUNG, SONY, PANASONIC and LG, which might sound funny but they are ahead of all the rest. My PQ blows my friends Kogan 55" away. I wouldn't hesitate, especially for a bedroom TV, provided 1366 x 768 is okay, for the bedroom it probably doesn't matter.

  • Just purchased this one http://www.dicksmith.com.au/tvs/dick-smith-40-101-5cm-full-h… for $279 using JVC32 code. Not sure if they are any good, but are 1080P…

    • eh..how did you get $279? is the promo end already?
edit: hm..looks like not a real JVC from other post

      • You need to use the JVC32 code at checkout. Yes, all JVC TVs are re-branded Chinese OEMs. I could not find a review on this one, so I'm not sure of the quality, but for the price, I thought I'd take the risk. Especially with the 1080P, built in PVR, USB movie playback and 3 HDMIs. I did find some details here:

  • I'm just on my way to pick up a 32" TV from Aldi for $150. Not much of a deal in comparison.
