Currently we are using Amaysim ‘As You Go’ plan on our Smartphone and are very happy using it. We might make 1 or 2 phone calls a week and usually only use it for checking our emails.
We will be going to N.Z. for three weeks and would like to purchase a local SMS Card of a similar nature. Probably we would make perhaps ten phone calls (2-minutes or less) and only use the wifi to check our emails.
What type of plan and which telco would you recommend? We will be arriving at the Queenstown airport.
Many thanks.
I bought A sim card from Data go before I left (Went to NZ in June), I could activate it before I left Australia and could use it straight off the plane (It had a plan pre-loaded). The plan included data and calls/sms within NZ and international calls could be added on (I think it was 9 dollars for 90 minutes and X number of texts for contacting home).
