STOCKUP

Free standard metro and regional delivery for the next THREE DAYS only. Just in time for Father's Day, says Dr Murphy.

Enjoy, peeps.

"You could probably chuck a cheap bottle of wine into a beer/RTD order and get the whole delivery free though "

No - it doesn't work anymore

    • Nooooooo :(

edit: just tested it myself, you're right. No deal for beer and RTD even with the old cheap wine trick.

      • -1

        the old cheap wine trick.

        :(

        • You would've won my heart if you'd linked this cheap wine trick reference.

        • Won my heart

This is my link to the Cheap Wine Trick.

          Did I win your heart?

Will this work with the $20 Amex rebate from the other day? If so, that is a great deal.

    • +1

      Yes it will :)

    • +3

And combine it with start here cashback… it's like free booze!

      • +1

        Cashrewards works as well

and to think I almost walked into the store and purchased a bottle this morning. I love their free delivery but it takes so long to receive it considering the store is only 1km away :(

    • +7

Free delivery is possibly only useful for alcoholics like myself who, due to being chronically drunk to some extent, cannot legally drive the <5km to the local store.

I have been mulling over your comment above for the last half hour. After notification links, an odd first-ish thing to read on OzBargain, on what has been - for me anyway - a generally odd day.
(By 'mulling', I do not mean by way of the mulled-wine that the English people I know love so very dearly.)

I know very well that my intentionally sparing use of smileys, l's oot loud, and even, at times, exclamation points, see my comments on OzBargain regularly misinterpreted to one degree or another. (Likely, maybe, not the least by you).
        I like wry.
(By 'wry', I do not mean 'rye' - the fermented base for some spirits.)

Turnip - be you spirit-logged or not (-with me doing some misinterpreting) you may wish to clarify your (uncharacteristically un'lol'ed, etc.) comment above.
Either way, some of us give a damn.

        • lol definitely a joke! Didn't even realise I hadn't thrown in a 'lol' there. IRL I'm more deadpan humour, I think. I kinda force myself to include the odd lol here and there online in case my self-deprecating or piss-taking or simply-lousy jokes are taken too seriously or literally.

Sometimes I forget to add the lols :(

I don't even want to think about the number of rodents you have variously led astray. Or even just the number that you have dressed-up.

  • RTDs also include Spirits?

    • A spirit based RTD is still considered an RTD rather than 'spirits', unfortunately lol.

      • just further clarity Sorry (mid week brain dying.. need a drink, im not talking about premixs etc,
if it were for exmaple a single 700ml Spiced Rum would that go under the free delivery?

        • +2

Ah, just regular bottles of spirits.. yes, Dan's codes typically always apply to wines AND spirits. It simply excludes premixes/RTDs and beer/cider.

So yes, you can have a single 700mL bottle of delicious spiced rum delivered for free. Apply the coupon during the checkout process, but don't panic about the delivery charges not being dropped until the 3rd step in the online checkout process (ie. 'Payment'). In steps 1 and 2, the delivery fee is still included in the total.

i thought there is already a code which would work for the whole month of august?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/155822

    • +2

      that is for wine only.

      • +1

Spirits as well.. it worked for my lagavulin 16yo + 15 bottles of wine or something lol should of tried adding a case of beer

        • Ah, didn't realise that. Apologies for doubling up on codes then!

I do notice that the STOCKUP code applies to both metro and regional deliveries though. Do codes usually only apply to metro deliveries? I wonder why they'd release two different codes that overlap, unless there was a difference. hmm

Would be good to know if the DMWEL0814 code works for regional (if anyone could test it, that'd be great!).

Thanks for pointing it out though :)

Doesnt seem to be working for me, ordered 6 wines (different varieties) and the code seems to go through but i'm still being charged the $8 for delivery. Anybody know why?
Edit: i'm a moron - you have to wait for the very last step for the discount to be applied. I probably should learn to read.

    • +1

It's a bit of an unnerving checkout process in regards to coupon codes, that's for sure. You wouldn't be the first to think it hasn't worked- considering it asks you to apply it, then disregards it until a couple of steps later lol.

  • apparently the 2L cowboy liqueur is classed as not a free delivery item.

$25 for 28 standard drinks of choc liqueur looked like a great buy to me.

Can recommend the Croatian 1L "Kruskovac" which is a brilliant pear liqueur that kinda tastes like orange

  • thanks OP, just ordered me 6 bottles of red

After my previous comment I had a phone call at 9pm last night saying something about 'wine delivery' (couldnt understand the guy) and today my delivery appeared on my doorstep so in this case the delivery was alot quicker than previous times - yay!

    • still waiting

how long normally their delivery took ?

  • +1

Has anyone bought cider with the code, or is that still considered as beer?

    • +1

Cider, I believe, floats in the ambiguous area between RTDs and beer, so yeah, codes typically don't cover cider unfortunately.

      • +1

Yes I thought so, they should really add those to the excluded conditions too.

  • the sparkling one is in the same price.

    https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_382410/voss-sparkli…

the code "STOCKUP" works for the free delivery.
