Colgate A1500 Pro Clinical Electric Toothbrush $99.95 50% off rrp Shaver Shop

Seems like a good price, could be knocked down to $90 if chemist warehouse honour their price beat guarantee.
Chemist Warehouse

It's in the catalogue so I presume it's instore as well as online?

Jesus, how many gimmicks do you need in a toothbrush

  • Is there any hard evidence that one electric toothbrush is better thsn another or even a standard brush?

I've been using one of these for a while (purchased from a previous sale) and it certainly leaves you feeling like you've had a good clean. I prefer it to the Oral B electric brushes that I have used over the years.
If electric brushes are your thing and you are due for an upgrade, I think it is worth giving the A1500 a go.

I purchased this for $99.99 on the previous sale.

It works much better than my previous top-of-the-range Oral-B IQ 5000.

Seems to vibrate faster and clean much better. My teeth have the back-from-the-dentist feel.
It is quieter than the Oral-B, but both are fairly loud. It more of a deep vibration (like a pager or your phone on silent mode).

After a year, the battery doesn't seem to keep the charge for a week. But I can brush morning and night for two days and charge overnight without problems.

Kogan had Oral-B knock-off heads very cheap, but they fitted very poorly. Heads last a little bit longer than the Oral-B and go on sale every once in a while at Woolworths. I haven't seen generic head-replacements for the Colgate/Omron.

The only thing I miss is a battery level guide, as I never know how much battery power is left on the device. The A1500 is better than the C-series brushes.

      ymmv.

  • $10 to post a toothbrush seems a bit excessive..

Just came back from chemist warehouse asking for price beating.

    Things learnt today:

    1) Chemist Warehouse WON'T beat this price. Indeed they won't beat any price of Shaver Shop. They are only beating the price of other PHARMACY.
    2) Don't try the price beat thingy 30 minutes before store closed. Everybody is busy.
    3) Don't pay 5 minutes before store closed. Your money is not earned by the the pity staffs. They are on salary basis, the more time they work the more they lose.

  • Cheapest on staticice is $118. That RRP is ridiculous.
