  • +1 because I've bought High Sierra (a ~$200 duffle bag) from Bagworld before; good quality gear, good shop.

  • I already own this bag. It's superb, used it for high school and VCE and it did the job and survived the test. Eventually one of the zips wore out and some teeth fell off, was replaced under the lifetime warranty no hassles. Holds everything but the kitchen sink, which is great, but I have now moved onto a smaller bag (15" laptop, still high sierra) for uni.

    • What model are you using for the 15"?

I am looking for a backpack to carry my 15" macbook pro plus a few note books, a bottle of water etc. to uni.

    • Just got mine price matched at officeworks :) thanks for that. Also the fact that I got to check out the bag in person was a plus (very well made).

      • Which OW? Also any other colour?

        • Got mine at East Vic Park officeworks here in WA. They only had the black on black colour like the one in the picture there unfortunately (well fortunate for me as I wanted that colour!)

  • Anyone use this as a carry on luggage or have any recommendations? My bags are all well undersized for carry-on. Bit concerned that it weighs 1.6kg by itself (I think I have seen lighter ones but possibly not as sturdy I assume).

I've taken it as carry on numerous times and never had any issues if that's what you mean.

      • Awesome, exactly what I mean, thanks for the info!

    • I was wondering the same thing frogduck.

How would this compare quality wise against say the Tom Bihn Synapse 25?

  • out of topic but anyone know quality of brand Osprey ?

  • +1 as a recommendation on this brand. Mines still going strong what has been 5 years now of fairly rough treatment.

I won't be surprised if the thing our lives me

  • This is cheap? If you're just after a uni bag, anything will do. If you're after a travel bag, get one with excellent straps and frame from the US.

    • I believe this is the same brand as Samsonite as mine had a Samsonite tag on it and it also has the lifetime warranty on it. It also feels very sturdy! hoping it'll last me a long time.

    • But they charge $9.95 for delivery.

  • Last week, I bought the navy color model for $59.40 delivered from the same website.

  • One of the bagshops at Harbour Town in WA have these for $69 all the time, I think it's Strandbags but not 100% sure. I got one a few months ago and it's a fairly nice bag, although a few of the zip pulls have already snapped off.

  • Very good bag with padding at the base of the computer compartment (which a lot of bags don't have). A bagshop at DFO Moorabin (Vic) - possibly Strandbags, has them for $69 also. However, I did purchase the High Sierra Elite Business Pack (similar to above, but no raincover and fewer pockets) for $45 yesterday at Costco Ringwood - they finally had backpacks back in stock.
