    Interesting concept…

interesting yes, but the app is almost unusable without the in-app purchases :(

Also, unlocking chat and unlimited typing has a button to press but it doesn't say the price($3.79). I didn't log in to my apple store account so I don't know if the price is shown after you log in.

It's sneaky. Doesn't show the price, unless you look at it through the App Store!!

        • I wasn't aware this is allowed by Apple. Ai haven't purchases anything the last few months but I'm pretty sure I was able to see the price before logging in with my previous purchases.

    Seems pointless

  • Thanks

Thanks! Now all I have to do is wait for a "free paper" deal on OzBargain…

    • an A4 free print would be a better deal ;)

Not quite the Google cardboard project? What's next? A toilet paper scripting app?

    WOW it really works.

There's apps within this app to make use of the paper keyboard. They were custom made for it.
It's a shame there were only a few.

    thank you OP.
I have a great time playing with this app.

  • does this work for touch typists, who rest their fingers above the "f" and "j" keys?

    • no.
you're working with a typical A4 paper here and the letters are cramped in.
the camera needs good lighting to recognise your fingers.
      And its slow.

this tech is still in its early days.

      • It's definitely not slow on my iPhone 5s. The keys respond pretty much instantaneously and I was surprised.
I'm not a fan that the app tries to get you to purchase the premium without telling you the price, but credit where credit is due.

It's an interesting concept and the recognition software is very well executed. Just a bit limited in terms of practical application.

      • The idea has been around for quite a few years but using a different method (laser projected keyboard rather than printed on paper). I think it was even built into a few phones at one time.

Kind of a similar concept to the recently released OSMO thing for iPad (although that uses some form of attachable periscope hardware to adjust where the camera is pointed). https://www.playosmo.com/

  • Thanks op :)

  • This demo version has been free for months at least 8 months. Only EA can get away with charging people for a demo
