Singapore to UK Business Class

I am travelling from ADL to the UK via Singapore in Jun/Jul 15. We always fly Singapore Airlines from ADL to SIN and then on to the UK all via Economy Class. Whilst I am happy to fly Economy to SIN as it is only 7hrs, I would like to know if anybody has had any good cheap experiences flying from SIN to the UK Business Class, not too particular about the airline but would like a direct flight?

  • Pretty decent suggestion here. Etihad are often mentioned for good prices from SIN in business class. Neither of these are direct (1 stop) but prices will be a lot less than the direct options. The only airlines flying direct are British Airways and Singapore Airlines.

    • Thanks for that but Air india are not the safest airline a round, so will keep looking.

  • Have a look at SriLankan Air. Very attractive J class prices.

  • Look at Oman air on specific days.Although airlinequality.com reviews for Oman have deteriorated.

Malaysian airways is actually cheaper from BKK in J than from KL. It does fly direct from KL which is a benefit.
Qatar if great if you can get on dreamstar 787 but not sure which routes if flies.
have you looked at itamatrix.com to get idea of times and prices and then you have to book from airline site directly.

  • Oops, forgot you want to go best Y, Finnair? Emirates? Really cheap are Norwegian Air but bad for punctuality and can go Premium on Dreamliner, at least from BKK.
Have you looked at Royal Brunei from Melbourne? they had a special fare in July and it was under AU$1500 for return flight MEL - LHR in their Dreamliner 787 which I am sure alleviates jetlag.

This flight stops in Brunei and they may have finished new terminal by then and an hour stop over in Dubai so you can get out and stretch your legs. About $6K in J -fully flat beds, great food and service and a little dearer than the Chinese carriers who often have long stop overs.

Do not provid any alcohol but will serve it if you bring it in BYO small bottles, less than 100 mls which comply with international liquids and gels requirements.

If you flew to SYD you could go Asiana which gives you a night in flash hotel + dinner + brekky in Seoul on some flights. Might be worth checking out.
