dont get the 600's. They'll break at the point where they attach to the jack and logitech won't do anything but offer you a refund. They don't produce them anymore or repair them. They'll last ~3 months.
Mine have lasted two years and are still working in great condition, non-vi version though.
Has anyone had a bit of experience with the UE 600's and Sony's XBA earphones? How do the UE 600's compare to the XBA 3's and 4's?
I've got the UE600vi to replace my XBA3's after they were stolen, and IMO the XBA3's win hands down in everything (perhaps except comfort). Far more crisp and clear.
However, this looks to be a very good price for the UE600s
Thanks sixnout, I bought some comply tips for my XBA3's which have helped but I think i am still in the process of burning them in. You just saved me $45 but I agree, the price seems right for anyone looking to give these bad boys a go.
Did they change much between the UE600 and UE600vi? I actually preferred the UE600 over my XBA3s. Found them clearer. It's dead now..got the cable ripped from the jack, like poop described..
just added mic/controls??
As mathiex mentioned i think the difference between UE600 and 600vi is the mic and ability to take calls. Pretty sure you can take calls using the non-vi version just that you would still have to speak into the phone's mic.
Anyone that has broken wires at the plug on their ue600, don't throw em out, I'll take them! Costs 85c to $4 (depending on materials and quality) to replace the plug for decent one.
@Nitr0
I have a pair two pairs of Klipsch S4i's and one pair of Aiaiai Pipe - Fool's Gold Edition which are all dead because of a bent jack! One of the S4i's and the Aiaiais work in on ear, and if you fiddle with the jack, they'll work in both sometimes. The other Klipschs are dead - but it's probably because of a jack issue as well. I've been wanting to get these fixed but didn't know how to go about it. Any easy solutions? I've been missing these guys for over a year, and if I can bring three beautiful pairs of earphones back from the dead, I'll be very happpy…
the bluetooth boombox at $99 is quite a good deal too
Generally speaking, the Logitechs are good for the $$$ when discounted.
