Jobs and properties in Canberra

Hi Ozbargainers,

Ozbargain has almost become one of the necessities for me on daily basis, I enjoy seeing all the bargains and deals, especially seeing fellow ozbargainers' intelligent input.

Anyway, we are as a family moving to Canberra early next year. Therefore we'd like to buy a property to settle in for long term. What suburbs should we look at? Median price, close to school are the major factors at the moment.

Also how difficult is it to get a full time job in Canberra? I have no personal preference in regards to public or private sector.
