Tough Mudder | 2014 Events - $100 | 2015 Events - $89 | Spectators - $10 (Deal opens Fri - Sat)

190

Got an Email but it's open to all.

They are a good event, certainly worth doing atleast once to get the feel for it. Great if you are a part of a group.

Could be cheaper if you register a year in advance on site after running the previous year, but if not then this is the cheapest I have seen. A Good deal if you were planning to do it anyway.

Normal Price varies depending on how late you book.

From the page:

Bookings open:

15-17 of August.

  • Nice. I checked the other day and it was like $135/$145 for Saturday/Sunday. Now that it has come down to $100, that's pretty good.

Edit: Ah right, this is just for the coming weekend for the Global Mudder. Never mind.

    • No, you're right. The discounted entries are part of the promotion of the Global Mudder (4 events worldwide on the one weekend - this weekend)

This belongs in the forums, it's not a bargain…

    • +2

It's a discounted entry fee, how is that not a bargain?

      • +10

Because you can run around in the mud in your local park for free anytime…

        • +2

Also, you don't have to pay $10 at the park for a perve

        • @khaynes:

plus you don't have all that mud blocking the view.

Because you can run around in the mud in your local park for free anytime…

You obviously haven't left the Toshiba Laptop for a very long time….

  • is this how it is every year?
i.e early bird registration is cheaper? if so i dont really call it a deal, i mean nearly all competitions or events have early bird sale and "late fees"

  • +11

The whole thing is a bit of a rip off even with the discount.

    • I was thinking to do this a couple of years back. But when i check out the price … it put me off. I meant paid to run, get into icy cold water, electrocute … really

      • you can say the same to city2surf, it's about charity and atmosphere and perhaps a challenge for yourself.

        • +1

          it's about charity

How much of the money you pay goes to a charity ???

        • +4

City2surf is a charity. Tough mudder is a business.

Next you will be saying crossfit is a legitimate exercise program.

        • +1

City to surf is NOT a charity, it's a fashion statement for loner middle aged city slickers who love posting their amazing achievements and 'generosity' on social media so their buddies can validate them. If you really want to donate, do it directly.

        • @tightm8:
          indeed, well said.

    • Yet people still call it a bargain, go figure. Up voting the deal or the content?

  • +1

This is a lot cheaper than what I paid. I've completed Tough Mudder 3 times now.
Just as the OP said - It is certainly worth doing once.
You don't need to go as part of a group. But 4 seems to be a good number.
If you go as a group, it is better if you are all of a similar fitness level.

Im going, for the challenge and bragging rights :)

    Thanks OP

  • yep go and eat some of that cow shit…. no thanks. (it was in the news last time) :p

  • Ahhhh, missed it…

  • Do you guys know if any other deals for the event in Sydney are coming?

    • Bill subscribe to their email list, they keep coming with specials every now and then, I will keep you updated.

Another way to get a discounted entry would be to volunteer at one of their events and then get the following day or year for a discounted price…. if you have the time / interest.
