what happens when these companies get hacked? your whole password database available on the net…

I'll keep them in my brain with the rest of important stuff

    • No, they don't have your password, only an AES 256 encrypted blob. So hackers get the blob. AES 256 has never been cracked so the blob won't do them any good. So for a tiny risk - that a way to hack AES 256 is available in the next decade that doesn't require a supercomputer and years of continuous computation - you get both convenience and the passwords you use for each service are usually far more secure than standard brain-stored passwords (20 digits, alphanumeric, mixed-case). In my opinion, this improves your security, not lessens it.

  • nice find thanks

  • How different or better it is from LastPass ? I am using Lastpass Free version for the last 2 years and its wonderful.

    • I have been using Roboform for more than 3 years and find it very good. No complaints.

LastPass is always free for unlimited saved logins. Seems like Roboform (free version) only allow 10 saved logins ?

  • Dumb technoob question: neither Lastpass nor Roboform would've been any good in the recent 1.5billion Russian Password Theft, would they?

    • Well LastPass could have told you if you used a duplicate password on any website. And it helps you choose unique passwords for each website.
