I got a friend looking for some new glasses… and it seems the clearly contacts promo ended a week ago (im sure it'll be back soon).
But i remember seeing a while back in one of the Clearly Contacts discussions a link for an australian website that offered super affordable frames and lenses. like $40 delivered with an array of styles, and i remember thinking wow this is even better than clearly contacts. but i cannot at all remember the website, cant even find it with a little google search. anyone have any idea of what i could be thinking of, or better yet, can suggested an affordable prescription glasses site with many options.
Thanks!
Cheap prescription glasses anyone?

but it is not health fund supported?
Specsavers…. best pair I've ever had!
If your friend is thinking of having a holiday any time soon, then I suggest Vietnam and have the glasses made in 24 hours while there. Then go get some bargain dental treatment at the same time and when all is done your friend will probably have had a "free" holiday with the money saved!
Glasses - expect to pay $50 to $100. Eye test is $1
Dental - about 20 percent of the cost of the same procedures in Australia.
Good luck!I've used Ausspecs. Limited range of frames. Got stung this time because Medbank Private no longer list them as providers so check their list of approvals first (I didn't, just assumed they were still approved). Paid ~$90 for two pairs of plastic famed single vision glasses with cases. About 10 days turnaround.
Zenni
Extremely cheap (between 5-30 USD depending on the style of frames) + an extra 5 USD for anti-reflective coating (the other coatings are not necessary)
A flat delivery fee of 10 USD
Only negative is that delivery takes more than 2 weeks but still very cheap especially if you are buying multiple pairs.
