If any Melbourne OzBargainers would like to form a trivia team for this Friday, let me know/comment in this thread. Late notice I know, but lets see if we can get a team together (max 7). (I have something on so won't be able to attend and I suck at trivia).
I think we mentioned this before but for those who don't know OzBargain kicked in money (major sponsor) to the Beta Bar Pozible Campaign.
Bonnie Bradley and Skaidris Gunsmith are working on bringing Melbourne the first ever Beta Bar, Beta Bar is a Gaming themed venue to be located in the Melbourne CBD, brain child of Mana Bar Melbourne’s Bonnie Bradley and Skaidris Gunsmith Beta Bar will be a unique hub for geeks, gamers and the gaming industry to meet and socialize.
So basically in the long term, they are looking to secure a venue in the CBD (or nearby). In the meantime, they will be running monthly events which we should be able to comp some OzBargainers and have mini-meetups.
A nice initiative. Sounds like lots of fun for Melburnians.
