Storing your Eneloops/batteries

Heya guys,

Since many, if not most, of you all own a massive stack of eneloops, I was wondering how do you guys go about storing your vast collection of batteries?

I'm one to keep everything neat and organised so I was hoping some of you can share some tips and solutions on organising your charged/drained batts. I saw somewhere (most likely in murica) that some people put them in empty bullet cases. Looks pretty neat!

Oh, and being new to the eneloops scene, is it worth charging your eneloops in an Energizer smart charger? I heard in some cases Energizer chargers don't fully charge the eneloops but just wanted to clarify.

I use these to store my eneloops. I have a couple of spare boxes for the empty/newly charged batts.

Also, for the charger, i invested in a BC-700, but i think the recommendation is to get the BC-700 equivalent, the IQ 328.

    • I use the same containers to store my batteries and then these and the chargers are stored in Sistema-brand kitchen storage containers.

Grab themm when they are 50% off at Coles / Woolies :)

Most of my batteries are stored in a device if they're charged.. If not, then they sit in the charger (unplugged) until I remember to charge them.

I'll take the punt* and say that all Energiser branded chargers are cheap and nasty (just like their rechargeable batteries) with zero intelligent functions and you should only use one as a last resort and even then, be sure to unplug it as soon as you suspect the batteries are approaching being fully charged.
(* I could well be wrong and I'm more than happy for someone to tell me that only most Energiser branded chargers are rubbish as opposed to all)
In each of the Eneloop threads there's usually a reference to a recommended charger, Maha is a brand name that springs to mind.
